Πλησιάζει η στιγμή που η Honda θα παρουσιάσει επίσημα το νέο πολυαναμενόμενο Civic Type R, το οποίο θα ανακατέψει σοβαρά τη τράπουλα στην κατηγορία των hot hatches. Γι’αυτό, όσοι ανυπόμονοι Άγγλοι έχουν την δυνατότητα πλέον να προσθέσουν το όνομα τους στην λίστα παραγγελιών, με προϋπόθεση να πληρώσουν μια μικρή προκαταβολή ύψους £ 3.000 (€ 3.780).
Η ιαπωνική εταιρία δεν έδωσε περαιτέρω λεπτομέρειες για το αυτοκίνητο, και είναι πολύ πιθανό να διατηρήσει το πολύ επιθετικό bodykit, με τους έντονα τονισμένους προφυλακτήρες εμπρός και πίσω, τα νέα sideskirts, τα φουσκωμένα φτερά, τη μεγάλη (σήμα κατατεθέν, πλέον) πίσω αεροτομή, τον “άγριο” διαχύτη, τις τετραπλές απολήξεις της εξάτμισης και τις ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος μαύρου χρώματος, που είδαμε στο Παρίσι.
Την ισχύ θα παρέχει ένας ολοκαίνουριος, δίλιτρος, τετρακύλινδρος turbo κινητήρας που θα αποδίδει “τουλάχιστον” 280 ίππους, ενώ θα συνδυάζεται με 6-τάχυτο χειροκίνητο κιβώτιο, με τον κόφτη στροφών να βρίσκεται στις 7.000 σ.α.λ..
Η Honda θα προσθέσει ένα νέο κουμπί “+R” στο Civic Type R, που θα βρίσκεται στο πλάι του τιμονιού, και θα αλλάζει διάφορες παραμέτρους, όπως η απόκριση του κινητήρα, του συστήματος διεύθυνσης και του νέου Adaptive Damper System τεσσάρων σημείων. Η λειτουργία “+R” θα είναι ακραία, και το αυτοκίνητο θα είναι ιδανικό για χρήση σε πίστα και θα εκτιμηθεί από τον πραγματικά ενθουσιώδη σπορ οδηγό.

Type-R Order Book is open
Honda is pleased to announce that the Civic Type R is on the starting blocks and gearing up for its much awaited 2015 launch. Due to unprecedented demand, customers wanting to be one of the first behind the Type R steering wheel can now place an order with a £3,000 deposit at their local Honda dealer.
The all-new hot hatch – due in UK showrooms next year – will be the most extreme and high-performing Type R in the 22 year history of the red ‘H’ badge, signalling the start of a new performance era for the brand.
The all-new Civic Type R has been developed and engineered for European drivers. The car will be built at Honda’s state-of-the-art plant in Swindon, UK, arriving in dealerships during 2015.
The new Type R will mark the debut of the new ‘+R’ button, for example. Located to the side of the steering wheel, a press activates ‘+R‘ mode for the most exhilarating driving experience. Engine responsiveness is heightened, with torque-mapping changed to a more aggressive and performance-focused setting. Steering becomes more responsive which, together with the new four-point Adaptive Damper System, delivers the ultimate handling experience.
Due to exceptional demand Honda has closed the pre order bank for the much awaited Honda NSX. Over 100 customers have placed orders since the vehicle was first displayed at the North American Auto Show, the Geneva Motor Show and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
