Η ABT Sportsline παρουσιάζει το βελτιωτικό πακέτο που έχει ετοιμάσει για το νέο Volkswagen Passat. Του έχει φορέσει μπροστά spoiler, πλαϊνές ποδιές, αεροτομή, νέα καπάκια καθρεπτών, σπορ αναρτήσεις, σπορ εξάτμιση, νέες ζάντες 20″ και 21″, νέα πατάκια και μηχανικά για τον 2,0-λιτρο TDI κινητήρα, έχει ετοιμάσει ένα κιτ βελτίωσης που τον δυναμώνει κατά 40 άλογα, για να αποδίδει 280 άλογα.
Το πακέτο θα παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση της Γενεύης, μαζί με το βελτιωμένο TT με τα 310 άλογα, αλλά και με το κτηνώδες RS6-R με τα 730 άλογα που πρωτοείδαμε και πέρυσι στην ίδια έκθεση.

Just sex appeal – the ABT programme for the new VW Passat B8
The new generation of the Passat, B8, does even top its predecessors, certainly in terms of elegance and performance, and has won almost any test. But this model is certainly no swot but rather a car people take a shine to right away – especially in combination with the extensive styling and performance package by ABT Sportsline, the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group.
In terms of performance, this package from Bavaria really adds a lot. Thanks to ABT Power New Generation the original 240 hp/ 176 kW diesel now shows 280 hp/ 206 kW. “With our specially developed ABT Engine Control unit with its own software, this latest uprating provides utmost power, balance and dependability,” says CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt: “Extensive tests on our own dynamometer and on the road and comprehensive follow-up warranties attest to our product’s quality.”
In the new Passat tuned by ABT Sportsline the new sportiness is also felt visually. The body kit shows the Volkswagen at its most dynamic from all angles. From the front spoiler and grille attachment the eyes wander along the side skirt attachments and mirror caps to the rear skirt add on and rear spoiler, which is available for both the estate and the limo in different versions.
The wheel houses also accommodate a visual highlight: the brand new alloy wheel ABT FR in mighty 20’’ with Continental sport-type tyres. With a black-painted corpus and front-polished double spokes, this wheel design embodies luxury, sportiness and elegance. ABT suspension springs make for an optimised handling. Alternatively ABT Sportsline also provides a wide range of other cast and forged wheels like the DR design in massive 21 inches.

An extreme uprating – the new RS6-R by ABT Sportsline with 730 HP
The “Daytona grey matt“ paintwork of the ABT RS6-R to be shown in Geneva says it all: with 730 hp/ 537 kW this estate’s engine is more powerful than the NASCAR racers over there in America. And its top speed of 320 kph is also quite something. But all these potent figures should not let us forget that the new ABT RS6-R is also a visual highlight. After all, the car is based upon the Audi RS6 facelift presented at the end of 2014. ”On this fit occasion, with new lamps for example, our extensive body kit really comes into its own,” says Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO of the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group.
Select expose-carbon parts are what the ABT body attachments have in common. They adorn both the front lip with its blades and the air inlet trims including flics, the side skirt add ons with side blades and the rear skirt. Mirror covers, fender inserts and a rear spoiler complete this impressive version. What is also new are the 22’’ FR alloy wheels, which will also be premiered at Geneva. With their black corpus and front-polished double spokes they combine sportiness and luxury in a perfect way.
The tech pack is also quite something, turning 560 HP/ 412 kW into no less than 730 HP/ 537 kW. The basis is ABT Power S, which uses an ABT Engine Control unit with its own, specially developed software. And there is the specially adapted stainless-steel exhaust system, which with its two double tailpipes makes for a roaring sound and even better looks.
Despite its enormous power and the Daytona grey paintwork, the ABT RS6-R is not only fun on an oval track or drag strip. The production settings are great to begin with, and with the height adjustable suspension springs and high-performance tyres by Dunlop ABT adds something special. In contrast to a real racer, inside this car elegant materials prevail – ABT details included.

A fast gunmetal bullet – the “ABTed” Audi TT
The matt wrap in “gunmetal” makes the new Audi TT come into its own. Combined with the body parts by ABT Sportsline the sport coupé from Ingolstadt becomes as assertive as it becomes a super sports car. “And this means there has to be power and performance,” says CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt: “With this exhibition model we show how much potential there is even in the 2.0 TFSI quattro, which we have upgraded to the level of the production TTS.“
The four-cylinder turbo is uprated from 230 hp/169 kW to 310 hp/228 kW, with maximum torque at 440 Nm (serial version: 370 Nm). And thanks to the ABT sport brake system with 6-piston callipers (disc size: 370 x 35 mm) you can slow down very fast too. With its successful set-up the TT also proves that the shortest distance between two points may well be a straight line, but that real fun is found taking bends. ABT suspension springs and stabilisers see to it that the driver does not have to bother with balance and agility matters. The car is perfectly connected with the road by 20’’ alloy wheels in the new ABT FR design with Continental tyres in 255/30 R20.
For the 3rd generation of the TT the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group also provides a body kit that makes the sports car look perfect from any perspective. ABT Sportsline makes the edgy face look even more assertive with a front skirt add on with an offset spoiler lip. Specially designed mirror caps with the ABT logo complete the car’s front. Whoever sees the ABT TT approach in his or her rear-view mirror will soon see its rear too. The fixed rear wing and rear skirt insert with its offset center make the car appear racier. This is also an effect of the ABT exhaust system with black tailpipes and lasered ABT logos – and not only visually but also acoustically. It’s only Rock ‘n’ Roll, but I like it!
