H DS στην έκθεση της Guangzhou παρουσίασε το DS 4S, το οποίο και θα πωλείται αποκλειστικά για την κινεζική αγορά. Σχεδιασμό στη Γαλλία, το DS4 S θα κατασκευάζεται στο εργοστάσιο της γαλλικής εταιρίας στη πόλη Shenzhen της Κίνας και στιλιστικά ακολουθεί την ίδια σχεδιαστική γλώσσα των DS 5LS και DS 6WR, έχοντας χρωμιομένη γρίλια, LED φωτιστικά σώματα και στο εσωτερικό ξεχωρίζουν οι κόκκινες δερμάτινες επενδύσεις, με τον χώρο των πίσω επιβατών να έχει μεγαλώνει, λόγω του μεγαλύτερου μεταξονίου.
Κίνηση παίρνει από τρεις κινητήρες βενζίνης. Από τον 1.2-λίτρων τρικύλινδρο ΕΒ2 Turbo και από τον 1.8 THP απόδοσης 136 και 204 ίππων. Και οι τρεις κινητήρες συνεργάζονται με ένα αυτόματο κιβώτιο 6 σχέσεων. Οι πωλήσεις του DS 4S θα ξεκινήσουν στο πρώτο μισό του 2016.

GUANGZHOU MOTOR SHOW: DS CONTINUES TO GO AFTER THE PREMIUM COMPACT

After New DS 4 and DS 4 Crossback launched a few weeks ago in Europe, it is now China’s turn to unveil its flagship model for DS’s global offensive in the premium compact segment.
Designed in France, and produced in Shenzhen, China, DS 4S expresses technology and refinement.
With its trio of cars in the C segment (two in Europe and one in China), the DS brand now has everything it needs to succeed in the world’s largest premium car segment, which t is growing fast, especially in China.
From DS 4S to new DS 5, the keywords for DS models are refinement and technology, for a driving experience that combines vitality and comfort. Those words take on their full meaning in DS 4S that is to be presented at the Guangzhou Motor Show. The new model is entirely consistent with the values of the brand.
Beside DS 4S, a DS 23, symbolising the 60th anniversary of the original DS, and new DS 5, DS 5 LS, DS 6 SUV, will be exposed. Premium compact hatchback with exceptionally dynamic styling, DS 4 S is a hat responds to the expectations of Chinese customers.
Refinement
This can be seen in the front end, DS Wings. Bold and identifiable, it comprises a sculpted, chiselled, vertical grille featuring the DS emblem in the centre and the light signature DS LED Vision. The work performed on the light signature is itself an example of refinement. For evidence : this model’s fully LED front headlamps with the three all-new LED modules designed to look like gemstones in a jewellery setting or the 136 LED lights on the front end. As with all new DS models, these are combined with the very best DS technology, with features like scrolling turn signals, cornering lights and moving directional headlamps. The tail lights, which also use LED, are worked in 3D with a magnificent optical effect. Refinement is also very much present in the body panel joins, commensurate with the very highest premium-segment standards in China and strengthening the quality and durability offered by our product.
Inside, this refinement is fully expressed through the leather offer, both in the choice of materials ‘quality and in the exclusive DS finish, with a handcrafted fully leather dashboard (and door panels) that embodies the spirit of Parisian luxury craftsmanship; each one takes 8 hours to complete. The production of the watchstrap-style seat upholstery has been a DS brand innovation and exclusive feature since the earliest days of the company. The new red tone leather enhances this refined image and the extreme attention to detail that characterise DS’s unique brand of French-style luxury
Vitality
Vitality is expressed first of all in the styling, from the DS Wings front end now characterising all DS models to the road-hugging hatchback body and the tail pipes, more visible to underscore the sporting credentials of the car. And for the icing on the cake, for the launch the car is cloaked in a special body colour, Dark Fire red, a deep red colour, exuding vitality and athleticism.
With three petrol engines delivering high constant torque and generating power of 136 hp and 204 hp, thanks to THP 1.8, all available with the EAT6 auto gearbox and STT, the new model delivers on efficiency and high-performance. This will also be the début of the all-new EB2 Turbo engine, named “Engine of the Year 2015”, on DS range in China. The engine boasts exceptional qualities in terms of high performance and efficiency and also reduces fuel consumption.
Comfort
This can be seen in the style and architecture of the car. The rear end has been entirely redesigned in order to offer rear passengers even more comfort, particularly with a record-setting amount of leg room for the compact segment. The redesign of the car’s architecture made it possible to feature a longer wheelbase and a very manageable length. Installing a rear axle with an extremely short cantilever, which also provides an advantage for the dynamics through improved weight distribution. The work done on the suspension means that the car has more head room, making it the top performer in its category. Furthermore, thorough soundproofing and insulation work carried out by the DS and CAPSA teams made the car one of the best in the premium segment when it comes to acoustic comfort for passengers.
DS 4S will go on sale in the country in the first half of 2016, joining the ranks of DS 5 LS, DS 6 and New DS 5.
