Η Mazda επεκτείνει τη παραγωγή του RX-8 Spirit R, τα οικονομικά αποτελέσματα του οικονομικού έτους 2011, μόνο με 4-κύλινδρα μοτέρ το νέο Mazda6

H Mazda ανακοίνωσε σήμερα ότι τα πλήρη οικονομικά της αποτελέσματα για το οικονομικό έτους του 2011 όπου είχε έσοδα 2.033 δις Yen (19 δις ευρώ), λειτουργικά κέρδη 38.7 δις Yen (361 εκατ. ευρώ), με καθαρά έσοδα προ φόρων 55.3 δις Yen (517 εκατ. ευρώ).

Παράλληλα ανακοίνωσε ότι η παραγωγή του συλλεκτικού RX-8 Spirit R επεκτείνεται για ακόμη 1.000 μονάδες, αφού τα πρώτα 1.000 που ήταν να βγούνε αρχικά στη παραγωγή, έχουνε ήδη πουληθεί. Το RX-8 Spirit R πωλείται αποκλειστικά στην Ιαπωνία και μπορεί να είναι διαθέσιμο είτε με το 6-τάχυτο χειροκίνητο είτε με το 6-τάχυτο αυτόματο κιβώτιο, και το όνομα του είναι ίδιο με αυτό της τελευταίας έκδοση του RX-7. Διαθέτει νέες ζάντες, νέα bucket καθίσματα, ειδικά σηματάκια, προβολείς ομίχλης, κόκκινες δαγκάνες, πλαϊνούς SRS αερόσακους και μαύρη γυαλιστερή κεντρική κονσόλα. Η έκδοση με το χειροκίνητο κιβώτιο έχει bucket καθίσματα της Recarο και μπρονζέ 19″ ζάντες με ελαστικά 225/40,

Η έκδοση με το αυτόματο κιβώτιο έχει επίσης, δερμάτινο σαλόνι με κόκκινες ραφές, δερμάτινο τιμόνι και χειρολαβή χειρόφρενου με κόκκινες και μαύρες ραφές, κεντρική κονσόλα με κεντρικό υποβραχιόνιο από συνθετικό δέρμα με κόκκινες ραφές, σπορ ανάρτηση και μεγαλύτερα φρένα και ασημί ζάντες 18″ με ελαστικά 225/45.

Το μοντέλο είναι διαθέσιμο σε 3 χρώματα (ασημί, μαύρο και λευκό) και επειδή σταματά το RX-8 δεν σημαίνει τελικά ότι η Mazda σταματά να αναπτύσσει τον περιστροφικό Wankel κινητήρα. Η τιμή του Mazda RX-8 SPIRIT R ξεκινά από τα 3.120.000 Yen (€30.627) για την έκδοση με το 6-τάχυτο αυτόματο κιβώτιο και 3.250.000 Yen (€31.903) για την έκδοση με το 6-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο.

Επίσης το νέο Mazda6, το οποίο θα παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση του Παρισιού τον Σεπτέμβριο, θα είναι διαθέσιμο αποκλειστικά με 4-κύλιδρους Skyactiv κινητήρες. Τέλος ανακοίνωσε ότι μαζί με την Ford, θα επενδύσουν από κοινού 27 εκατ. δολάρια στο κοινό εργοστάσιο της στην πόλη Rayong της Ταιλάνδης, AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) ώστε να αναβαθμιστεί και να μπορεί να κατασκευάζει έως 20.000 μονάδες ετησίως, ενώ υπόγραψε συμφωνία με την Ρώσικη OJSC Sollers ώστε να δημιουργήσουν από κοινού, μια κοινοπραξία στη Ρωσία με έδρα το Βλαδιβοστόκ, η οποία θα κατασκευάζει τα CX-5 και το Mazda6 για την Ρωσική αγορά, με το εργοστάσιο να έχει δυνατότητα κατασκευής αρχικά 50.000 αυτοκινήτων ετησίως, ενώ μέσα στα επόμενα χρόνια θέλουν το νούμερο αυτό να αυξηθεί στις 70.000 μονάδες.

Mazda Extends Production of Special Edition RX-8 SPIRIT R

– An extra 1,000 RX-8s are on their way due to popular demand –

HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to extend production of the Mazda RX-8 SPIRIT R by 1,000 units. Mazda initially intended to make 1,000 units of the special edition four-door, four-seat rotary engine sports car, but will extend production due to a large number of orders. Sales of the RX-8 SPIRIT R, the final special edition model, were launched in November of 2011.

Mazda has received orders for the special edition RX-8 SPIRIT R from a variety of customers of all ages including sports car fans and rotary engine enthusiasts. The 6-speed manual transmission version is proving most popular, constituting 66% of orders. It features aero parts and Bilstein dampers as well as RECARO bucket seats and 19-inch bronze-painted forged aluminum wheels. Orders are almost equally divided between the three available body colors, Aluminum Metallic, Sparkling Black Mica, and Crystal White Pearl Mica.

Mazda commenced sales of the RX-8 in April 2003, and as of the end of March 2012, has produced 192,094 units (figure includes those intended for overseas sale). Mazda plans to end production of the RX-8 in June 2012.

Mazda Signs Agreement with Sollers to Establish Joint Venture Manufacturing Company in Russia 

HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that it signed an agreement with OJSC Sollers today to establish a joint venture manufacturing company in Russia. Sollers is one of the leading automotive companies in Russia.

Based on this agreement, the joint venture company will locate its production facility in Vladivostok, in Russia’s Far Eastern Federal District and operations will begin in the fall of 2012. The joint venture facility will be used for the assembly of Mazda’s new CX-5 SUV, the next generation Mazda6 and a Sollers-owned brand vehicle, for the Russian market. Production capacity of the new plant will be 50,000 units per year at the start of operations with the aim of increasing that capacity to 70,000 units per year.

The automotive market in Russia has made a strong recovery since the financial crisis of 2009. In the calendar year of 2011, demand for new cars increased approximately 40% from 2010 to 2.65 million units, making it the second largest market in Europe after Germany. Furthermore, demand is expected to grow to around three million units in 2015.

In 2011, Mazda sold approximately 40,000 units in Russia, a roughly 60% increase year on year. Together with our joint venture partner Sollers, Mazda will expand its business in the fast growing Russian market and will accelerate its efforts to strengthen emerging market business and establish global production footprints in line with its Structural Reform Plan.
