Εξελίξεων συνέχεια για την ομάδα της Red Bull Racing. Ίσως να πρόσεξες πως, στην ανακοίνωση για τους κινητήρες του 2016 υπό το όνομα της TAG Heuer, υπήρχε το όνομα Infiniti, συνεπώς θα υπέθεσες πως η αυστριακή ομάδα θα συνεχίζει να συνεργάζεται με την ιαπωνική εταιρεία και υπό-brand της Nissan. Φαίνεται, όμως, πως κάναμε λάθος, καθώς τα πράγματα είναι διαφορετικά.
Αυτό γνωστοποίησε η ομάδα του Milton Keynes σε επίσημη ανακοίνωσή της, δηλαδή ότι ουσιαστικά η TAG Heuer πήρε τη θέση της Infiniti με την οποία είχαν κοινή πορεία από το 2011 μέχρι και το 2015, ένα διάστημα στο οποίο κατακτήθηκαν 6 πρωταθλήματα -3 οδηγών και 3 κατασκευαστών-, 35 νίκες, 37 pole positions και 80 τερματισμοί στο βάθρο. Ο επί κεφαλής της Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, λέει:
Θα θέλαμε πούμε ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στην Infiniti για τη συνεισφορά τους στην ομάδα από τότε που ενώθηκαν μαζί μας ως εμπορικός συνεργάτης από το 2011. Έγιναν χορηγός τίτλου της ομάδας το 2013, όταν η Infiniti απέκτησε τη μεγαλύτερη προβολή από οποιονδήποτε άλλο κατασκευαστή στο άθλημα. Τους ευχόμαστε τα καλύτερα για τα μελλοντικά τους σχέδια.

Further to the announcement that Red Bull Racing has partnered with Tag Heuer for the naming rights of the team’s power unit for the 2016 season, the team today announces that its commercial partnership with Infiniti will conclude at the end of 2015.
Red Bull and Renault have reached a mutual and amicable agreement that will see the French car manufacturer continue to supply the team with engines for the 2016 Formula One season, and this new agreement does not cover any marketing activity for the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
During their commercial partnership from 2011 to 2015, Infiniti and the team have enjoyed incredible success on the track, winning three Drivers’ and three Constructors’ Championships, taking 35 Grands Prix wins, 37 pole positions and 80 podiums in total. Infiniti continued its support of the team off track, engaging consumers with its many innovative activations.
