Οι Γερμανοί της Carlsson στη Φρανκφούρτη παρουσίασαν την CK63 RS, την βελτιωμένη CLS63 AMG, και επηρεασμένοι από τις γιορτές, δημιούργησαν την Santa Edition η οποία διαφέρει μόνο στο λευκό “Diamond White Metallic” εξωτερικό χρώμα και τα κόκκινα Nappa δερμάτινα καθίσματα στο εσωτερικό. Μηχανικά ο twin-turbo V8 αποδίδει 652 άλογα με 1.000 Nm ροπής με τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 4.1 δευτ (από 4.3 δευτ) και πατά πάνω σε 20″ ζάντες. Το αυτοκίνητο θα παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση της Γενεύης τον Μάρτιο.

Carlsson CK63 RS – Pure emotion in white and red
The Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG (type C218) with performance package is probably one of the most exciting and powerful models built by Daimler’s subsidiary AMG. A V8 bi-turbo engine with up to 557hp (410 kW) is an automotive dream that fulfils nearly all wishes. Nevertheless the automobile manufacturer Carlsson once more reworked the coupe into a red-white dream that convinces in every sector.
Optimized by Carlsson the engine under the long bonnet of the CK63 RS now provides 652 hp (480 kW) compared to the original 557hp (410 kW). Furthermore the maximum torque increases from 800 Nm to 1000 Nm. This allows the Carlsson CK63 RS to reduce the time for the sprint from 0 to 100 kph from 4,3 to 4,1 seconds. The Carlsson shot-peened exhaust system has a flap control and metal catalysts. That fact combined with the four oval end pipes guarantees a pure sonorous V8-sound at any torque level.
The 20 inch Carlsson 1/10 Brilliant Edition light alloy wheels also emphasise the sporty yet stylish look and allow Carlsson to attain more strength and a distinctly improved rolling quality at the same time. Carlsson lowers the front axle with sport springs by 30 mm, thus ensuring optimum comfort and excellent driving dynamics with an appealing look.
The coupe-style contours were refined by Carlsson with an elegant aerodynamics package. The new front spoiler and the front spoiler lip RS made of carbon fibre ensure an athletic look. A discreet spoiler on the trunk lid and the rear skirt insert with its rear diffuser RS made of carbon fibre ensure extra down force and more stable road holding even at high speeds. The cars varnish in “Diamond White Metallic” points out the black stainless steel mesh inserts in the radiator grille and the front spoiler.
“Santa Red” dominates the whole interior of the Carlsson CK63 RS. The seats, the door panels as well as the rear seat bench, the trunk and even the floor have been covered in Carlsson Nappa Exclusive leather in “Santa Red” with chequered white ornamental seams.
