Η νέα Cadillac ATS πρωτοπαρουσιάστηκε στην έκθεση του Detroit και τώρα η Cadillac την παρουσίασε και στη Γενεύη. Το αυτοκίνητο έχει κατασκευαστεί έτσι ώστε να τεθεί απέναντι από τα Αudi A4, BMW Σειράς 3 και Mercedes C-Class και διαθέτει ενεργή γρίλια η οποία κλείνει αυτόματα όταν το αυτοκίνητο κινείται με μεγάλη ταχύτητα, έτσι ώστε να μειώνει τις αεροδυναμικές τριβές, μειώνοντας έτσι την κατανάλωση. Διαθέτει LED φωτιστικά σώματα, πατά πάνω σε 17″ ζάντες αλουμινίου, έχει αεροτομή στο πορτμπαγκάζ και πολλά χρωμιομένα διακοσμητικά. Στο εσωτερικό του ξεχωρίζουν οι δερμάτινες επενδύσεις, τα ξύλινα και τα αλουμινένια διακοσμητικά, ο ψηφιακός πίνακας οργάνων, το νέο σύστημα ενημέρωσης και ψυχαγωγίας CUE και σύστημα ήχου της Bose.
Το αυτοκίνητο έχει κατασκευαστεί πάνω στην πισωκίνητη πλατφόρμα Alpha και μηχανικά φορά τον νέο 4-κύλινδρο δίλιτρο turbo κινητήρα απόδοσης 274 ίππων με 353 Nm ροπής, με τον ατμοσφαιρικό 2.5-λιτρο απόδοσης 203 ίππων με 255 Nm ροπής καθώς και με τον V6 3.6-λίτρων απόδοσης 322 ίππων με 362 Nm ροπής. Όλοι συνδυάζονται είτε με ένα 6-τάχυτο χειροκίνητο ή αυτόματο κιβώτιο ενώ υπάρχει και σύστημα τετρακίνησης στον επιπλέον εξοπλισμό.
Το νέο ATS είναι πισωκίνητο με αναλογία βάρους 51/49 και ζυγίζει 1.542 κιλά και η μπροστά ανάρτηση αποτελείται από διπλά γόνατα MacPherson ενώ η πίσω ανάρτηση είναι ανεξάρτητη 5 συνδέσμων. Στον επιπλέον εξοπλισμό υπάρχει η σπορ ανάρτηση FE3 η οποία διαθέτει το σύστημα Magnetic Ride Control, μπλοκέ διαφορικό και φρένα της Brembo. Στον επιπλέον εξοπλισμό υπάρχει ενεργό cruise contol, ένα έξυπνο σύστημα φρεναρίσματος και προεδοποίησης σύγκρουσης, σύστημα ελέγχου αλλαγής λωρίδας και κάμερα οπισθοπορείας.
Το αυτοκίνητο θα κατασκευάζεται στο εργοστάσιο Grand River της πόλης Lansing στην Αμερική και η παραγωγή του θα ξεκινήσει το καλοκαίρι και θα είναι διαθέσιμο αποκλειστικά σε sedan έκδοση, χωρίς ακόμη να έχουνε γίνει γνωστές οι τιμές του.

Geneva – Making its European debut, the all-new ATS compact sedan is the star of Cadillac’s packed stand at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. It headlines an impressive product line-up that includes the awesome CTS V-Series, the world’s fastest family of series production cars, the widely-acclaimed SRX crossover and the innovative Escalade Hybrid SUV.
Scheduled for sale in Europe this autumn, the Cadillac ATS has been engineered and designed to challenge the domination of European car makers in the premium compact segment. Its launch represents another key development in Cadillac’s renaissance as a successful, global luxury brand.

Cadillac ATS engineered to end European domination
Developed around an all-new, lightweight rear-wheel drive architecture, the ATS sedan takes Cadillac into the world’s largest selling luxury car segment. As a result, it introduces Cadillac’s unique blend of technically advanced performance, elegance and design to a new group of discerning buyers within Europe’s premium car market. .
The ATS is a fresh expression of Cadillac’s Art & Science design execution, built on a foundation of superb driving dynamics and minimized vehicle weight. It is the most agile and lightweight car to carry the Wreath & Crest emblem, with one of the lowest curb weights in its class – less than 1,542 kg – and a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
The sophisticated rear-wheel drive chassis is engineered around multi-link, double-pivot MacPherson-strut front suspension and Cadillac’s first five-link independent rear axle. Cadillac’s industry-leading Magnetic Ride Control active suspension system and all-wheel drive are also available.
Power is supplied by an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine rated at 201 kW/273 hp. Its exceptional specific power output of 136.6 hp per liter exceeds that of any engine offered by the ATS’s European competitors. Key features shared with its naturally-aspired 2.5-liter stable-mate include all-aluminum construction, continuously variable valve timing and direct fuel injection..
Just as impressive is Cadillac CUE (Cadillac User Experience), offering ATS drivers a comprehensive infotainment system which merges intuitive design with industry-first controls and commands for managing information and media data.
Compact Cadillac design
Inside and out, the ATS features the signature styling and refinement cues of Cadillac’s Art & Science design language, now tailored in new proportions for the most compact Cadillac yet built.
A generous 2,775 mm-long wheelbase and wide front/rear tracks endow the ATS with a sporty, planted stance, which is enhanced by short overhangs and taut body contours wrapping tightly around standard 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Signature vertical light units include LED front lighting details and a classic Cadillac grille features shutters which close at highway speeds to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve fuel economy. Premium class exterior detailing includes illuminated door handles.
A driver-focused interior, with integrated technology and crafted materials, complements the exterior design themes. Everything from the placement of the pedals to the position of the gear shifter is designed for an effortless and intuitive driving experience.

A lighter and more efficient 237 kW/322 hp, 3.6-liter V6 with direct injection gives nearly four percent more power without any increase in fuel consumption.
- SRX Crossover.
Cadillac’s widely-acclaimed entry in the crossover segment features an active all-wheel drive system with an electronically-controlled, limited-slip rear differential as standard. The 199 kW/270 hp, 3.0-liter V6 engine generates maximum torque of 301 Nm from just 3,200 rpm for superb pulling power.
- Escalade Hybrid Platinum Edition.
The Escalade Hybrid is the first full-sized, luxury SUV to offer hybrid technology. In city driving, its Electrically Variable Transmission (EVT) enables a 33 percent improvement in fuel economy. The Platinum Edition adds a top-of-the-line, luxury interior and LED headlamps. Like all Escalades, it features Cadillac’s industry-leading Magnetic Ride Control active suspension system.
