Η γαλλική εταιρία Venturi και το Ohio State University συνεργάστηκαν για τη δημιουργία του VBB-3, το οποίο θα προσπαθήσει να θέσει νέο παγκόσμιο ρεκόρ ταχύτητας για ηλεκτρικά αυτοκίνητα.

Θα παρουσιαστεί στις αλυκές του Bonneville κατά τη διάρκεια του Speed Week, με το VBB-3 να χαρακτηρίζεται ως το πιο δυνατό ηλεκτρικό όχημα που κατασκευάστηκε ποτέ, καθώς οι ηλεκτροκινητήρες του έχουν απόδοση 3000 (!!) ίππων.

Αυτές είναι οι μόνες πληροφορίες που υπάρχουν μέχρι στιγμής για το όχημα και ο Roger Schroer θα επιχειρήσει να σπάσει το δικό του προηγούμενο ρεκόρ που είχε κάνει το 2010, με το Venturi VBB-2.5, όταν είχε πιάσει 495 χλμ/ώρα.

Αν πάνε όλα βάσει προγράμματος, φέτος το ηλεκτρικό όχημα θα πιάσει τα 600 χλμ/ώρα, με την εταιρία να αναφέρει ότι θα συνεχίσει τις μικροβελτιώσεις έτσι ώστε να ξεπεράσει τα 700 χλμ/ώρα.

VENTURI BUILDS THE FASTEST AND MOST POWERFUL ELECTRIC VEHICLE IN THE WORLD

As part of its «VENTURI GLOBAL CHALLENGES» initiative, VENTURI AUTOMOBILES is launching, in partnership with OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, a new electric vehicle world speed records program.

The Venturi VBB-3: the fastest and most powerful of all

With 3,000 HP, the 3rd generation «VENTURI JAMAIS CONTENTE» will be the most powerful electric car ever built. ROGER SCHROER, test driver at the Transportation Research Center (Ohio) and current holder of the FIA world record (which he achieved in 2010 aboard the VENTURI VBB-2.5 – reaching a top speed of 495 km/h (307.58 mph)), is planning to hit 600 km/h (372.82 mph) in 2013, followed by 700 km/h (434.96 mph) in 2014 before pushing the limits still further in 2015.

Bonneville Utah: World Speed Capital The 1st public unveiling of the VBB-3 will take place on the Bonneville Salt Flats, where it will take part in the SPEEDWEEK on August 10 – 16, 2013. The FIA record attempts will take place on September 12 and 18, 2013.

Energy efficiency as a challenge According to Gildo Pallanca Pastor, CEO, VENTURI AUTOMOBILES, «… by designing the most powerful electric vehicle in the world, we are consolidating our lead in the field of electric propulsion, but perhaps more importantly, we are innovating in order to optimize energy efficiency, one of the greatest challenges facing not only the automobile industry, but society in general». Jamais Contente In this, the centenary year of his death, this program pays homage to Camille Jenatzi who, on April 29, 1899, became the first person in history to break the 100 km/h (62 mph) barrier. Just like Jenatzi in his electric vehicle nicknamed the «Jamais Contente», VENTURI is setting new benchmarks that were formerly the preserve of piston, diesel and petrol engines.
