Χθες ανακοίνωσε ότι θα κάνει τα εργοστάσια της κατά 25% φιλικότερα προς το περιβάλλον και σήμερα ανακοινώνει ότι το VW Group μέσα στο 2011 προσέλαβε 28.000 άτομα ανεβάζοντας έτσι τον αριθμό των υπαλλήλων της σε 500.000 σε όλο τον κόσμο. Ο Dr. Horst Neumann, μέλους διοικητικού συμβουλίου του VW Group, δήλωσε ότι ο όμιλος κάνει σημαντικές επενδύσεις σε νέους εργαζομένους έτσι ώστε να εξασφαλίσει το μέλλον του ομίλου. Οι 7.000 νέες θέσεις δημιουργήθηκαν στην αγορά της Γερμανίας, 11.000 σε άλλες Ευρωπαϊκές χώρες και 10.000 σε χώρες εκτός Ε.Ε, κυρίως σε Κίνα, Ινδία και ΗΠΑ.
Πέρυσι ο όμιλος απασχολούσε 399.000, με την φετινή αύξηση στις 500.000 να οφείλεται εκτός στις 28.000 νέες προσλήψεις, στην ενσωμάτωση στον όμιλο δύο νέων εταιριών. Της Porsche Holding Salzburg από τον Μάρτιο με 20.000 εργαζόμενους και της MAN από τον Νοέμβριο με 50.000 υπαλλήλους.

Wolfsburg, 30 December 2011 – The Volkswagen Group has increased its global workforce by 100,000 employees in the current year. The growth in employee numbers is the result of the integration of new companies and the creation of 28,000 new jobs throughout the world. At the end of November, the Group employed 500,000 people, including more than 12,000 apprentices.
“Once again, Volkswagen is a powerful motor for employment,” said Dr. Horst Neumann, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft responsible for Human Resources. “Our cars generate enthusiasm among our customers. We are creating jobs, making considerable investments in new employees and securing the future of the Group.”
The Group created 28,000 jobs, including 7,000 in Germany, 11,000 in other European countries and 10,000 outside Europe, especially in China, India and the USA. The recruits included experienced personnel as well as recent school-leavers and university graduates.
Board Member for Human Resources Dr. Neumann underlined: “Volkswagen offers performance-oriented young people outstanding career entry and development prospects.” All in all, Volkswagen recruited 11,000 university graduates and apprentices in 2011, including 3,100 graduates and 2,500 apprentices in Germany.
In addition to the new recruitments, Volkswagen has also grown through integration of new companies. Since March 1, Porsche Holding Salzburg, with about 20,000 employees, has been part of the Group; MAN, with a workforce of about 50,000 people, joined the Group on November 9.
In Germany alone, the Volkswagen Group employed 220,000 people at the end of November 2011 (end of 2010: 181,000 people), while the global workforce reached 500,000 employees (end of 2010: 399,000).
