Η Hyundai, παρουσίασε τη μυστηριώδη νέα έκδοση του δημοφιλούς Veloster στο Σικάγο.
Το όνομα της είναι RE:FLEX Edition και είναι σχεδιασμένη για “άτομα που θέλουν να ξεχωρίζουν από το πλήθος”. Όσον αφορά στο design, η νέα αυτή έκδοση διαφοροποιείται χάρη στα εμπρός φωτιστικά σώματα με ενσωματωμένα LED, κάποια επιπλέον χρωμιωμένα διακοσμητικά και τις ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος 18 ιντσών.
Στο εσωτερικό, οι αλλαγές είναι εξίσου λίγες. Το Veloster RE:FLEX εξοπλίζεται με φωτιζόμενα μαρσπιέ, ειδικά πατάκια, αλουμινένια πεντάλ και premium ηχοσύστημα. Πέρα από αυτά, τόσο τα καθίσματα όσο και το τιμόνι είναι επενδυμένα με δέρμα ενώ υπάρχουν και κάποια διακοσμητικά σε piano black χρώμα. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως ακριβώς όπως και με τα υπόλοιπα Veloster, έτσι και το RE:FLEX εξοπλίζεται με standard οθόνη 7 ιντσών και κάμερα οπισθοπορείας.
Κάτω από το καπό, υπάρχει ένας 1600άρης τετρακύλινδρος κινητήρας που αποδίδει 132 άλογα και 162 Nm ροπής και συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο κιβώτιο διπλού συμπλέκτη.
Η Hyundai θα κατασκευάσει μόλις 3.000 Veloster RE:FLEX αλλά δεν ξέρουμε ούτε πότε θα βγούνε στην αγορά, ούτε πόσο θα κοστίζουν.

Latest Variant adds to the Appealing Veloster Line-up
CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2014 – Hyundai Motor America unveiled the newest addition to its popular Veloster line-up, the RE:FLEX Edition, at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Veloster RE:FLEX Edition goes on sale early this Spring, with a limited production run of 3,000 units, ensuring buyers they will own a truly unique Veloster model for years to come.
“Veloster RE:FLEX Edition builds on the success of the 2013 Veloster RE:MIX Edition,” said Scott Margason, director, product planning. “Veloster customers desire limited-edition models with even sportier styling, unique features and exclusive colors that allow them to stand out from the crowd and that is exactly what RE:FLEX Edition delivers.”
Veloster RE:FLEX features black or red full leather seating, projector headlights with LED headlight accents, LED taillights, illuminated door sills, 18-inch alloy wheels with a PVD chrome finish, chrome hood accents, chrome door handles and RE:FLEX badging on the exterior and floor mats.
Other standard equipment on the RE:FLEX is borrowed from the popular Style Package including front fog lights, piano black interior accents, a 450-watt Dimension premium audio system with eight speakers including a subwoofer, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals and an automatic up driver’s window. As with all Velosters for 2014, a rearview camera is now also standard equipment taking full advantage of the standard 7-inch multimedia touchscreen display.
In addition to the RE:FLEX-exclusive Ice Pearl paint, the Veloster RE:FLEX is available in Century White, Vitamin C, Ultra Black, and Boston Red. All Veloster RE:FLEX models use the Gamma 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and six-speed EcoShift® dual-clutch transmission.
Veloster continues to attract Hyundai’s next generation of buyers, earning numerous accolades including the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award, Bloomberg’s “Best Economy Car,” one of Kelley Blue Book’s “10 Coolest New Cars under $18,000” and Autobytel’s Car of the Year for 2012.
