Τα πρώτα BAC Mono φαίνεται ότι κυκλοφορούν ήδη και έτσι ένα από αυτά βρίσκεται στην αντιπροσωπεία της Ferrari στο Nottingham. To BAC Mono, είναι το νέο μονοθέσιο παιχνίδι για μεγάλα παιδιά που τους αρέσουν τα trackdays από την BAC (Briggs Automotive Company).
Από την άλλη η “RS Academy” προσφέρει σε όλα τα Ευρωπαϊκά μέλη της, μαθήματα εντός πίστας ίσως στις καλύτερες πίστες της Ευρώπης με δύο BAC Mono. Συγκεκριμένα προσφέρει μαθήματα στις πίστες Nurburgring, Ascari Race Resort, Paul Ricard και Spa Francorchamps. Μαζί με τα δύο Mono, η RS Academy διαθέτει μια Ferrari 430 Challenge, μια Porsche 911 GT3 RS, ένα Ariel Atom, ένα Caterham Superlight και ένα Noble M600.
Να θυμίσω ότι το Mono φορά έναν 2.3 λίτρων 4κύλιδρο κινητήρα της Cosworth απόδοσης 280 ίππων στις 7.700 σ.α.λ με 280 Nm ροπής στις 6.000 σ.α.λ. Συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο σειριακό κιβώτιο της Hewland, προδιαγραφών F3 και φορά μπλοκέ διαφορικό. Τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 2.8 δευτερόλεπτα με την τελική του να αγγίζει τα 274 χλμ/ώρα. Η αναλογία ίππων/τόνο είναι καλύτερη και από αυτό της Bugatti Veyron αφού το BAC MONO έχει αναλογία 520 ίππων/τόνο.
Η pushrod ανάρτηση του είναι πλήρως ρυθμιζόμενη και φορά ελατήρια της SACHS Racing. Τα φρένα είναι της AP Racing με αεριζόμενους δίσκους 295mm. Φορά τις O.Z. Racing HRT 17″ ζάντες με ελαστικά Kumho. Τα ηλεκτρικά είναι της GEMS.

RS ACADEMY TO OFFER WORLD’S FIRST DRIVING EXPERIENCE OF STUNNING NEW MONO LIGHTWEIGHT SPORTSCAR
RS Academy, one of Europe’s most exclusive track-driving car clubs, is delighted to announce that it has taken delivery of the very first production Mono sports cars which will further enhance its existing fleet of mouth-watering supercars.

The Mono is a lightweight, ultra high performance, road legal sports car, designed and manufactured using the latest racing technology. Aimed at drivers who seek a purist driving experience and for whom design, engineering excellence and performance are of paramount importance, the Mono is an aggressive design and will set a new benchmark in the small, but elite segment of radical, lightweight sports cars. With 528 bhp per ton, the Mono is capable of a top speed is in excess of 170 mph and 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds.
RS Academy has track days arranged throughout the year at circuits such as the Nurburgring, Ascari Race Resort, Paul Ricard and Spa Francorchamps and offers members a financially astute way to access some of the world’s most exciting cars on some of the most challenging and rewarding circuits.
