“Never Adapt”: new Jeep® lineup commercial goes on air
“Don’t adapt to conventions” is the new concept used to express the values of the American brand. Airing of the new commercial will start on October 9th on major Italian television channels. The iconic Jeep Wrangler, the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee and the urban compact SUV Jeep Compass are the stars alongside the Jeep enthusiasts. Starting today a preview will be available online at www.jeep-official.it.
The new commercial of the Jeep lineup will be on air starting Sunday, October 9th. The claim “Never Adapt” expresses the uniqueness of the people who choose Jeep and represents the brand’s values. The TV spot will be launched on top of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the brand that invented the concept of Sport Utility Vehicle and transformed mobility into an extraordinary experience.
The spot puts the focus on people: their individuality and their uniqueness are in the spotlight together with the iconic Jeep Wrangler, the flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee and the compact urban SUV Jeep Compass. The attention is constantly focused on authenticity to create an emotional connection between the target and the Jeep models. The spot is an invitation to leave the ‘comfort zone’ of conventions and to move forward to seek the true essence. Only by breaking with habits and everyday monotony we can freely track our own path and turn our ‘journey’ into an adventure: “We do not adapt to conventions and that’s why we feel alive” emphasizes the voiceover.
The spot clearly refers to the Jeep’s core values of freedom, adventure, authenticity, passion and uniqueness and to the ability of the American brand to evolve itself while always staying true to its DNA. The invitation to search for the essence is reconfirmed at the end of the spot through the following words: “You cannot travel the path until you have become the path itself”.
Directed by the British director Stuart Douglas and produced by Nice Shirt Films using the creative concept conceived and developed by Leo Burnett, the 30-second TV spot will be broadcast on the main Italian television channels. Starting today, a preview of the spot will be available on www.jeep-official.it. The new advertising campaign will as well appear in press, radio and web and it will be shortly debuting on the main European markets. The first appointment outside Italy will be in Spain on October 9th on the same date of the Italian launch. The implementation of the new campaign on the web is carried out by xister.
Later on, the spot will be customized for each Jeep model. This will be accomplished in full compliance with the logic of coherence and continuity of tone, communication style and consistency of the message. The various subjects of the new advertising campaign will be launched in the forthcoming months according to the plans developed by each market.
