H Ferrari ανακοίνωσε ότι η πρώτη F12berlinetta που θα πουληθεί στην Αμερική, θα βγει σε δημοπρασία με όλα τα χρήματα να πηγαίνουν στον Αμερικανικό Ερυθρό Σταυρό, ώστε να βοηθήσει έτσι στη στήριξη των θυμάτων που άφησε στο πέρασμά του ο τυφώνας Sandy.
Η δημοπρασία θα γίνει στις 17 Νοεμβρίου στο περιθώριο του GP της F1 στη πίστα του Αustin όπου προσφορές θα γίνονται και online. Οι κανονικές πωλήσεις της στην Αμερική θα ξεκινήσουν το δεύτερο τρίμηνο του 2013 με αρχική τιμή τα $315.888.
Επίσης η Ferrari F12berlinetta πήρε και το βραβείο “Χρυσό Τιμόνι 2012” στη κατηγορία coupe/cabrio. Είναι το πρώτο Χρυσό Τιμόνι που παίρνει η Ferrari στα 37 χρόνια του θεσμού.
Να θυμίσω ότι η F12berlinetta φορά τον ατμοσφαιρικό V12 κινητήρα της FF 6.3-λίτρων (6.262 κ.εκ) με περιεχόμενη γωνία 65°. Αποδίδει 740 άλογα στις 8.500 σ.α.λ με 690 Nm ροπής με 118 άλογα/λίτρο. Το 80% της ροπής είναι διαθέσιμη από τις 2.500 σ.α.λ προσφέροντας έτσι μια αδιάκοπη επιτάχυνση έως τις 8.700 σ.α.λ όπου στροφάρει ο V12. Συνδυάζεται με ένα 7-τάχυτο διπλοδισκό F1 κιβώτιο με κοντές σχέσεις μετάδοσης το οποίο έχει δημιουργηθεί αποκλειστικά για την F12berlinetta.
Τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 3.1 δευτερόλεπτα, τα 0-200 χλμ/ώρα σε 8.5 δευτερόλεπτα με τελική ταχύτητα 340 χλμ/ώρα. Έχει μέση κατανάλωση 30% μικρότερη από αυτή της 599 εκπέμποντας 350 γρ/χλμ CO2. Ferrari Drives Sandy Relief: Auctions First F12berlinetta in the U.S. To Support Hurricane Sandy Relief
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy last week, Ferrari will donate the proceeds from auctioning the first F12berlinetta in the U.S. market to the American Red Cross to support the organization’s relief efforts in the affected area. The auction will take place on November 17th 8:00 p.m. CST at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix in Austin, TX. Interested bidders who will not have the opportunity to attend this auction, should contact their local Ferrari dealers.

Hurricane Sandy hit close to home for Ferrari North America, whose headquarters are based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. Marco Mattiacci, CEO and President, Ferrari North America, says, “Here at Ferrari, we have experienced and seen the devastation that Hurricane Sandy has caused in the affected area first hand. We want to use our event next week at Formula 1 in Austin to give back to our local community by auctioning the F12berlinetta.”
Across the globe, Ferrari has been consistent in auctioning vehicles to help provide disaster relief and charity with incredible results. Following an earthquake in Italy, Ferrari put a rare 599XX Evo up for auction to benefit the victims in Emilia Romagna region in May of this year, raising almost $1.8 million. Ferrari also raised almost $1 million in 2011, when it auctioned a Ferrari FF to support the victims of the 2011 tsunami in Japan.
Praised as the most powerful production car in the history of the Prancing Horse, the F12 berlinetta was debuted at the Concours d’Elegance of Pebble Beach earlier this year and will be available in the U.S. during the second quarter of 2013 with a base MRSP of $315,888.
Mr. Mattiacci added, “The F12berlinetta is already in high demand and we expect the auction to yield a significant contribution to storm relief.”
The Ferrari F12berlinetta wins the 2012 Auto Bild Goldenes Lenkrad Award
Maranello, 8 November – The F12berlinetta has won the Coupés/Cabrios category in the prestigious 2012 Goldenes Lenkrad (Golden Steering Wheel) awards organised by German car magazine Auto Bild in conjunction with the Bild am Sonntag newspaper. This is the first time a Ferrari has taken this coveted award since the Golden Steering Wheel was instituted 37 years ago.
Attending the ceremony in Berlin was Ferrari’s CEO, Amedeo Felisa, who commented, “This is a significant achievement for Ferrari and is a testament to the importance of the brand in Germany which has always been a key market for us, the biggest in Europe. Here there are some of our most passionate collectors and clients and I am particularly proud of this award which underlines how widely our constant and uncompromising approach to innovation in the sports car field is appreciated.”
