Σχεδόν έναν μήνα μετά την αποκάλυψη του Toro, η Fiat παρουσιάζει στο Dubai Motor Show το Fullback – το νέο μεσαίο της pickup που βασίζεται στο Mitsubishi L200.
Το Fiat Fullback θα είναι διαθέσιμο σε 4 εκδόσεις: Single Cab, Extended Cab, Double Cab και Chassis. Αναλόγως της έκδοσης, το μήκος του νέου pickup ενός τόνου της Fiat, κυμαίνεται από 5.155 χιλιοστά έως 5.285 χιλιοστά. Ανεξαρτήτως έκδοσης, το πλάτος είναι 1.815 χιλιοστά και το ύψος 1.780 ενώ το μεταξόνιο, είναι 3.000 χιλιοστά. Οι κινητήρες με τους οποίους θα είναι διαθέσιμο το Fullback, διαφέρουν από περιοχή σε περιοχή.
Στην Μ. Ανατολή και την Αφρική, θα προσφέρεται ένας 2.5 λίτρων πετρελαιοκινητήρας με απόδοση 110 ή 178 ίππων και ένας 2.4 λίτρων βενζινοκινητήρας με 132 ίππους. Στην Ευρώπη από την άλλη, το Fullback θα κινείται από έναν 2.4 λίτρων, αλουμινένιο turbodiesel που αποδίδει είτε 150, είτε 180 άλογα και συνδυάζεται είτε με ένα 6-τάχυτο, μηχανικό κιβώτιο, είτε με ένα 5-τάχυτο αυτόματο. Επίσης, να σημειώσουμε ότι το Fullback θα είναι διαθέσιμο είτε ως πισωκίνητο, είτε ως τετρακίνητο.
Όσον αφορά στην εμφάνιση, παρότι το Fullback είναι επί της ουσίας το δίδυμο αδερφάκι του L200, ξεχωρίζει από αυτό χάρη στην ανασχεδιασμένη μάσκα και τον λίγο διαφορετικό εμπρός προφυλακτήρα. Επίσης, αξίζει να αναφέρουμε ότι η Mopar έχει ήδη ξεκινήσει την εξέλιξη μίας ολοκληρωμένης σειράς αξεσουάρ για το νέο μεσαίο pickup της Ιταλικής φίρμας, παράγοντας που διαφοροποιεί περαιτέρω τα δύο αυτοκίνητα. Οι πωλήσεις του Fiat Fullback θα ξεκινήσουν στην Ευρώπη εντός του 2016.

Fullback, Fiat Professional’s new medium-duty pick-up truck made its world début at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show – the largest automotive event in the Middle East and North Africa – and will be available across the entire EMEA region from May 2016.
Backed by over a hundred years of history and an excellent reputation in the global LCV industry, the Fiat Professional brand is making another leap forward with the launch of Fullback, one that completes its current extensive range of products and services that are tailored to the needs of professional customers.
With Fullback, the Fiat Professional Brand makes a strong entry into the medium-duty pick-up truck segment in the EMEA region, where 675,000 units were sold in 2014 (23% of total sales in the LCV segment). This share is even larger in the Middle East – 58% – and in Africa – 52%.
This is, therefore, a highly strategic launch, and the new Fullback will definitely play a leading role in its segment thanks to its winning characteristics – robust construction and reliability. This unrivalled work hero is the result of understanding the actual needs of professional customers but it’s also perfectly at ease when used in everyday life and leisure, thanks to its great versatility.
In short, the new Fullback is ready to take on any challenge, hence its name, which is derived from the key position in rugby or American football – the last man in the line of defence and also a defender in attack – which denotes a player who is capable of dealing with any situation.
Perfectly in line with the best of the competition in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines, Fiat Professional’s new pick-up truck comprises a complete range of variants that will be adapted to the specific needs of each of the individual EMEA markets.
In detail, the Fullback line-up includes four configurations (Single Cab, Extended Cab, Double Cab and Chassis) and three trim levels.
All versions of the Fullback have a maximum height of 1,780 mm and are up to 1,815 mm wide with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The length varies depending on the configuration – 5,155 mm (Single Cab), 5,275 mm (Extended Cab), 5,285 mm (Double Cab). Also the length of the cargo compartment changes – 2,265 mm (Single Cab), 1,850 mm (Extended Cab) and 1,520 mm (Double Cab). The payload capacity, according to the configuration, comes up 1,100 kg.
In the Middle East and Africa the Fullback pick-up truck will be available with two engine options – a 2.5-litre diesel with a power output of between 81kW (110hp) and 131kW (178hp) and a 2.4-litre petrol engine that delivers 97kW (132hp) and has a five-speed manual gearbox. This engine offer is aligned to the best competition and can be combined, according to each market’s offer, with a manual gearbox or automatic transmission, both with five gears.
In Europe and other non-European markets, the Fullback will be available with a 2.4-litre aluminium turbo diesel engine with two power outputs – 113kW (150hp) or 133kW (180hp) – combined with a new six-speed manual gearbox or five-speed automatic transmission with sports mode.
The pick up truck Fullback will be available in the entire EMEA area with rear or full-wheel-drive.
Visitors to the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show will not only have the opportunity to be the first people in the world to see the new Fiat Professional pick up – they’ll also be able to admire some Moparised Fullback models that are equipped with special accessories, previewing a special range currently under development by Mopar, FCA’s reference brand for after-sales service, customer care, genuine spare parts and accessories.
