Η Volkswagen συνεχίζει να βλέπει τις πωλήσεις και τα κέρδη της να αυξάνονται αφού ανακοίνωσε ότι από τις αρχές του έτους έως τα τέλη Ιουλίου, πούλησε 2.95 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα, παρουσιάζοντας αύξηση 12.5% σε σχέση με την αντίστοιχη περίοδο του 2010. Σε ότι αφορά τις πωλήσεις Ιουλίου, αυτές αυξήθηκαν κατά 17.2%.
Συνολικά στην Ευρώπη έχουνε παραδωθεί 1.02 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+8.2% σε σχέση με το 2010) την ώρα που τα περισσότερα από αυτά (556.500 μονάδες) πήγαν στην Δυτική Ευρώπη, εξαιρώντας την αγορά της Γερμανίας. Στις αγορές της Κεντρικής και της Ανατολικής Ευρώπης, η Volkswagen είδε αύξηση 44% σε σχέση με πέρυσι, ενώ στη Ρωσική αγορά οι πωλήσεις της διπλασιάστηκαν.
Στην Ασία, η Volkswagen παρέδωσε 1.1 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+15.9% σε σχέση με το 2010) με την Κίνα να είναι η μεγαλύτερη αγορά της αφού παρέδωσε εκεί 991.800 αυτοκίνητα (+12.9%). Στην Βόρειο Αμερική οι πωλήσεις ανήλθαν στις 280.900 αυτοκίνητα (+22%) ενώ στη Νότιο Αμερική οι Γερμανοί πούλησαν 444.100 μονάδες (+7.5%)

Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand announces further growth in vehicle deliveries in July
Wolfsburg, 16 August 2011 – The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand delivered 2.95 (January-July 2010: 2.62) million vehicles to customers worldwide in the period January to July. This represents an increase of 12.5 percent on the comparable prior-year period. The brand reported an even higher rise of 17.2 percent for the month of July, with deliveries totaling 419,000 (July 2010: 357,600) units. “The Volkswagen brand has made a good start to the second half of the year with a strong delivery performance in July. Our young and innovative product range has helped us maintain the brisk momentum,” Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, commented in Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
Vehicles deliveries in Europe as a whole developed well, with Volkswagen Passenger Cars handing over 1.02 (0.94; +8.1 percent) million models to customers there in the period to July, of which 556,500 (541,500; +2.8 percent) were delivered in Western Europe excluding Germany. Deliveries on the home market of Germany remained positive, with 352,700 (325,100; +8.5 percent) vehicles handed over to customers. Volkswagen Passenger Cars reported a marked increase in Central and Eastern Europe, where 111,800 (77,700; +44.0 percent) units were delivered from January to July. The brand doubled deliveries in the single market of Russia to 56,500 (27,500; +105.0 percent) vehicles.
In the Asia-Pacific region Volkswagen delivered 1.10 (0.95; +15.9 percent) million vehicles during the first seven months of this year, of which 991,800 (878,700; +12.9 percent) units were handed over to customers in China, the largest single market. Deliveries in North America, where the brand handed over 280,900 (230,100; +22.0 percent) vehicles in the period to July, were also very encouraging. In the South America region, 444,100 (413,300) units were delivered to customers during the same period, a rise of 7.5 percent.
