Όλα ξεκίνησαν το 2011, όταν ένας πλούσιος Ελβετός επιχειρηματίας ζήτησε από τους σχεδιαστές Bo Zolland του σουηδικού design studio Vizualtech, και Robert Palm, έναν ανεξάρτητο Ελβετό σχεδιαστή να δημιουργήσουν το Growler E, ένα one-off αυτοκίνητο ήταν μια σύγχρονη εκδοχή της θρυλικής Jaguar E-Type.
Τελικά το αυτοκίνητο άρεσε τόσο που αποφασίστηκε να περάσει στη παραγωγή με όνομα Lyonheart K. Σε σχέση με το one-off μοντέλο διαθέτει νέα φωτιστικά σώματα, 20″ πολυάκτινες ζάντες, clamshell καπό και LED φωτιστικά σώματα.
Το σώμα του είναι κατασκευασμένο από carbon ενώ το σασί του από αλουμίνιο. Συνολικά ζυγίζει 1.575 κιλά και στο εσωτερικό υπάρχουν δερμάτινες επενδύσεις, ένα σύστημα ενημέρωσης και ψυχαγωγίας το οποίο κρύβεται μέσα στο ταμπλό, ξύλινα διακοσμητικά, ξύλινο τιμόνι, καθώς και λεπτομέρειες από βουρτισμένο αλουμίνιο και χρώμιο.
Έχει μήκος 4,749 μέτρα, πλάτος 1,933 μέτρα, πλάτος 1,314 μέτρα και μεταξόνιο 2,752 μέτρα. Κάτω από το καπό του βρίσκεται ο κομπρεσοράτος 5.0 λίτρων V8 κινητήρας, απόδοσης 575 ίππων με 700 Nm ροπής. Συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο αυτόματο κιβώτιο με τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα να τα κάνει σε 3.9 δευτ. με την τελική του ταχύτητα να περιορίζεται ηλεκτρονικά στα 300 χλμ/ώρα.
Πόσο κοστίζει; 495.000 ευρώ χωρίς ΦΠΑ και μόλις 250 αυτοκίνητα θα βγούνε στη παραγωγή με το 70% εξ’αυτών να πηγαίνουν στην Ευρώπη, το 20% στη Κίνα και το 10% στη Μέση Ανατολή.
