2014 Cadillac ELR

Η Cadillac, χωρίς ιδιαίτερες τυμπανοκρουσίες, έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα τα πλήρη χαρακτηριστικά της ELR.

Όπως ξέραμε, χρησιμοποιεί το αναβαθμισμένο και ανανεωμένο powertrain (Voltec) που χρησιμοποιούν και τα Chevrolet Volt και Opel Ampera με τον 1400άρη βενζινοκινητήρα/γεννήτρια απόδοσης 84 ίππων στις 4.800 σ.α.λ. να παράγει ρεύμα για να φορτίσει τις μπαταρίες ιόντων λιθίου των 16.5kWh που με την σειρά τους τροφοδοτούν δύο ηλεκτροκινητήρες. Η συνολική απόδοση είναι 217 άλογα και 400Nm με αποτέλεσμα η βάρους 1837 κιλών ELR να επιταχύνει στα 100km/h σε 7.8 δευτερόλεπτα σε range-extending mode (σε 8.8 δευτερόλεπτα σε EV mode) και να συνεχίζει μέχρι τα 170km/h της τελικής της.

Η ELR μπορεί να ταξιδέψει 60km χρησιμοποιώντας αποκλειστικά ηλεκτρισμό και 555km συνολικά. Όταν η μπαταρία εξαντληθεί, χρειάζονται 12.5-18 ώρες με πρίζα 120V και περίπου 5 ώρες με πρίζα 240V. Όσον αφορά την οικονομία καυσίμου, η ELR καταφέρνει κατανάλωση της τάξης των 7.1 l/100km κατά μέσο όρο ενώ κινούμενη σε EV mode καταναλώνει το αντίστοιχο 2.8 l/100km.

Το αγκάθι σε μία κατά τα άλλα φυσιολογική λίστα είναι μόνο η τιμή. Ενώ είναι σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό βασισμένη στο Chevrolet Volt όπως είπα και πιο πάνω, η ELR κοστίζει 41.000$ περισσότερα, ξεκινώντας από τα 75.995 δολάρια. Οι πωλήσεις της Cadillac ELR θα ξεκινήσουν τον Ιανουάριο του 2014.
