O Martin Winterkorn, o CEO της Volkswagen βγαίνει στη σύνταξη το 2016 και χθες το διοικητικό συμβούλιο του ομίλου εξέλεξε χθες τον Dr. Herbert Diess ως τον πρόεδρο της μάρκας για τα επιβατικά αυτοκίνητα, με τις αρμοδιότητες του να ξεκινούν από την 1η Ιουλίου του 2015.
Ο διορισμός έρχεται σε ισχύ τρεις μήνες νωρίτερα από ότι είχε αρχικά προγραμματιστεί και είναι το αποτέλεσμα μιας συμφωνίας μεταξύ του Diess και της BMW, όπου εκεί κατείχε τη θέση του μέλους του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου για την ανάπτυξη και ήταν υπεύθυνος εξέλιξης. Ο Dr. Martin Winterkorn παραμένει πρόεδρος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Ομίλου.
Εκτός από το παραπάνω, το VW Group προώθησε τον CEO της Porsche, Matthias Muller στο διοικητικό του συμβούλιο του. Ο Muller θα αναλάβει τη νεοσύστατη θέση της εποπτείας όλων των πολυτελών brand του Γερμανικού Ομίλου (Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, Audi και Bugatti).

Dr. Herbert Diess to take over as Chairman of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand at the earlier date of July 1, 2015
Dr. Herbert Diess will take up his appointment as a full member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG at the earlier date of July 1, 2015. This was confirmed by the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft on Friday. The appointment thus comes into effect three months earlier than originally planned and is the result of an agreement between Diess and BMW AG, where Diess held the post of Member of the Board of Management responsible for Development.
In his capacity as a member of the Group Board of Management, Diess will take over as Chairman of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand from Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, who remains Chairman of the Group Board of Management. In the context of this appointment the new function of “Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Passenger Cars” is to be set up in the Group Board of Management.
Matthias Müller appointed as a member of the Volkswagen Group Board of Management
At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft appointed Matthias Müller (61) as a member of the Board of Management with functional responsibility as “Chairman of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG”. Müller will serve in this Group capacity in addition to his responsibilities as President and CEO of Porsche AG.
Müller trained as a toolmaker and also holds a degree in computer science. He began his career at AUDI AG in 1971, initially studying IT and subsequently holding management posts in system analysis at Audi. Müller headed product management for the Audi A3 from 1993, before taking charge of coordinating the planning of all of the brand’s product lines. From 2003 Müller assumed responsibility for coordinating the sports brands unit in the Volkswagen Group. From 2007, he successfully took forward the Group’s product line development in his capacity as head of product planning, product management and model series for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen brand. Müller has been President and CEO of Porsche AG and a member of the Board of Management of Porsche Automobil Holding SE since 2010
