Η B&B Automobiltechnik βελτιώνει το Audi A4 Avant. Μηχανικά ο 2.0 TDI κινητήρας δυναμώνει και από τα 190 άλογα, αποδίδει 230 και 250 άλογα με 460 Nm και 500 Nm ροπής αντίστοιχα. Ο οίκος κάνει τον 3.0-λιτρο TDI να παράγει είτε 310 άλογα με 670 Nm ροπής, είτε 326 άλογα με 695 Nm ροπής, είτε 350 άλογα με 725 Nm ροπής, που επιτρέπει στο αυτοκίνητο να κάνει τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα σε 4,5 δευτερόλεπτα.

Τον 2.0 TFSI η εταιρία τον κάνει να παράγει 300, 320 και 365 άλογα, ενώ ο V6 3.0 TFSI αποδίδει 400, 430 και 450 άλογα. Ο οίκος βελτιώνει το λογισμικό των αυτόματων κιβωτίων για να αντέχουν την πρόσθεση ιπποδύναμη, τοποθετεί χαμηλότερα ελατήρια 35 mm, ζάντες 19″ και 20″, καλύτερο σύστημα πέδησης, επιπλέον σύστημα ψύξης λαδιού, ενώ μπορεί να αφαιρέσει και το περιοριστή ταχύτητας.

B&B Audi A4 B9 8W – up to 450 hp / 331 kW / 600 Nm

Specialists in the personalisation of prestige car marques since 1984, B&B is now pleased to announce the roll out of their tuning programme for the new Audi A4/S4 8W B9. The most potent diesel engine in the new Audi A4 range is the 3.0 TDI, which comes with 272 hp and 600 Nm of torque. B&B’s Stage 1 takes this to 310 hp and 670 Nm (1,698 euro), while the Stage 2 conversion (1,950 euro) is good for 326 hp with 695 Nm.

B&B’s Stage 3 conversion (3,950 euro) swells the output of the V6 turbo diesel to an impressive 350 hp and 725 Nm. Against the stopwatch, the 0-100 km/h sprint is reduced from 5.4 sec to 4.5 sec, while top speed goes up from 250 km/h to 275 km/h. All three of B&B’s upgrade stages include adaptation software for the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, as well as removal of the factory electronic Vmax limiter. Out of the box, the four-cylinder Audi A4 2.0 TDI has 190 hp and 400 Nm. The B&B Stage 1 conversion (1,198 euro) boosts this to 230 hp, with 460 Nm of torque, while Stage 2 (2,950 euro) takes this to 250 hp, with 500 Nm. Once again, software adaptation for the seven-speed S tronic transmission is included.

In the petrol engine line up, the more powerful of the two Audi A4 2.0 TFSI motor comes with 252 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The B&B Stage 1 conversion (1,298 euro) involves a remap of the fuel injection and ignition curves along with a slightly higher turbo boost pressure that increase the output to 300 hp, with 430 Nm. Modifications to the air intake system that are part of the Stage 2 upgrade (1,798 euro) improve the engine’s ability to breathe. Reworking of the ECU’s parameters to take this extra air supply into account, along with further adjustments to the fuel, ignition and boost curves release 320 hp and 460 Nm.

To achieve 365 hp and 530 Nm of torque, B&B’s Stage 3 (7,950 euro) conversion additionally uses a bespoke turbocharger with modified downpipe and sports catalyst to increase system flow and reduce exhaust backpressure. The ECU is then remapped accordingly, along with the seven-speed S tronic transmission’s software.

B&B also offers staged conversions for the S4 3.0 TFSI range flagship, which features an all-new turbocharged, direct-injection V6 with 354 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Stage 1 (1,950 euro) from B&B’s conversion menu takes this to 400 hp and 560 Nm, while Stage 2 (2,950 euro) is good for 430 hp, with 585 Nm. Stage 3 (5,950 euro) delivers a healthy 450 hp and 600 Nm. These conversions also remove the factory Vmax limiter, and include software adaptation for the eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox.

As more power equals more heat, B&B recommend their thermostatically-controlled additional oil cooling system (from 1,298 euro) to keep the engine’s life giving fluids within factory limits even under the most arduous driving conditions.

To improve the A4’s handling and stance on the road, B&B offers a sport spring set (398 euro), which lowers the ride height by 35 mm. The more hard-core driverwill appreciate the significant improvement to chassis behaviour provided by B&B’s coilover suspension (from 1,869 euro). This kit features adjustable ride height, and separately adjustable damper bounce and rebound control.

The electronically controlled DDC coilover kit (3,495 euro) allows the driver to choose comfort or sport settings at the touch of a button. B&B dress the new A4 in a tailor made sports outfit comprising the high-quality Caractere aerodynamic package, and B&B’s in-house light-alloy wheels in 19 and 20-inch sizes. Behind these big wheels, their high performance brake system ensures that the stopping arrangements match the increased power from their engine upgrades. B&B also offer a range of sports exhaust tips along with a sound generator, whose range of adjustment can produce various soundtracks right up to the deep bass of a V8. A wireless control is optional.
