Ένα Skoda Kodiaq πιάστηκε με ελάχιστο καμουφλάζ να κάνει χιλιόμετρα δοκιμών εξέλιξης, λίγο προτού παρουσιαστεί επίσημα την 1η του Σεπτέμβρη προτού κάνει ντεμπούτο στην έκθεση του Παρισιού.
Το SUV θα εξοπλιστεί με πέντε κινητήρες, τρεις βενζίνης, τους 1.4 TSI 125 και 155 ίππων με 200 και 220 Nm ροπής αντίστοιχα και τον 2.0 TSI απόδοσης 180 ίππων με 320 Nm ροπής. Επίσης συναντάμε και τον 2.0 TDI απόδοσης 150 και 190 ίππων με 340 και 400 Nm ροπής. Οι κινητήρες θα συνδυάζονται με εξατάχυτο μηχανικό και αυτόματο DSG κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων, που θα στέλνουν τη κίνηση στους μπροστά, αλλά και σε όλους τους τροχούς. Το μήκους 4,7 μέτρων Kodiaq, θα διαθέτει το σύστημα DCC (Dynamic Chassis) και θα προσφέρεται τόσο σε πενταθέσια, όσο και σε επταθέσια διάταξη καθισμάτων, με τον συνολικό χώρο αποσκευών, μετά την αναδίπλωση των καθισμάτων να φτάνει έως και τα 2.065 λίτρα.
Στο εσωτερικό συναντάμε το σύστημα ενημέρωσης και ψυχαγωγίας Columbus με LTE, Wi-Fi, SmartLink και υποστήριξη Apple CarPlay και Android Auto. Επίσης έχει επαγωγικό ασύρματο φορτιστή για smartphones και οθόνη αφής, ακόμη και στις βασικές εκδόσεις εξοπλισμού.

Mladá Boleslav, 10 August 2016 – Shortly before the world premiere of the ŠKODA KODIAQ on 1 September in Berlin, the Czech car manufacturer reveals exterior details of its new, large SUV model. They give an impression of how ŠKODA will transfer the brand’s expressive design language into the SUV segment. At the same time, the close-up images underline the brand’s high and uncompromising design and craftsmanship standards.
The ŠKODA KODIAQ is impressive: the wide, three-dimensional radiator grille is striking, with its own character. In combination with the narrow, raked headlights, which are available with full-LED technology for the first time, the brand’s first large SUV is an unmistakeable presence on the road. The side and rear views are also crisp: the doors are athletically shaped and the tailgate is expressively sculptured. The rear lights, with LED technology as standard, shine in the ŠKODA-typical C-shape.
The exceptional amount of space is also typical of ŠKODA: with a capacity of 720 to 2,065 litres (with the rear seats folded down), the five-seater ŠKODA KODIAQ offers the largest boot within its class. A first for ŠKODA: the SUV can also roll off the production line with seven seats as an option. Using the position of the seats and angle adjustment, they can be adapted to the widest range of seating and loading requirements. If the optional folding front passenger seat is chosen, the car can transport items up to 2.90 metres long.
The newest driver assistance systems ensure improved safety and comfort. Area View, using surround-view cameras with wide-angle lenses at the front and the rear as well as in the wing mirrors, displays various views of the car’s immediate surroundings on the in-car monitor. These include a virtual top-down view and 180-degree pictures from the areas to the front and rear. Tow Assist is also new to the range: if the ŠKODA KODIAQ is pulling a trailer, the system takes over steering when reversing slowly. Additionally, while reversing, the new Manoeuvre Assist will brake as soon as an obstacle is detected behind the vehicle.
The ŠKODA Connect mobile online services are another innovation. They are divided into two categories: the Infotainment Online services ensure more information and navigation in real time, and the Care Connect services provide remote access as well as assistance. The centrepiece of the Care Connect services is the emergency call following an accident: if an airbag is activated, a so-called Emergency Call (e-Call) automatically goes through to an emergency call centre.
