Στις 9 Ιανουαρίου η Chevrolet θα παρουσιάσει την νέα γενιά του Traverse, η οποία θα κάνει το ντεμπούτο της λίγες μέρες αργότερα στην έκθεση του Detroit. Μέχρι τότε, όμως, η εταιρία μας προϊδεάζει δίνοντας μας την παραπάνω teaser φωτογραφία.
Το μεσαίο SUV της αμερικάνικης εταιρίας βρίσκεται στην αγορά από το 2009, και αυτό θα κατασκευάζεται πάνω στη πλατφόρμα του νέου GMC Acadia κάτι που σημαίνει πως θα ζυγίζουν λιγότερο από τα σημερινά. Η παραγωγή τους θα ξεκινήσει προς τα τέλη του 2017, ως μοντέλο του 2018.
Η Chevrolet αναφέρει ότι το νέο Traverse αναμένεται να προσφέρει τον καλύτερο -της κατηγορίας- χώρο για τα πόδια της τρίτης σειράς των καθισμάτων, μαζί με το μεγαλύτερο χώρο αποσκευών. Θα μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει μέχρι και 8 επιβάτες, κάτι που αυτομάτως το καθιστά λογικά μεγαλύτερο από το μεσαίο μοντέλο της GMC .
Μηχανικά αναμένεται να κινείται με τον 3,6-λίτρων ατμοσφαιρικό V6, καθώς και με κάποιους 4-κύλινδρους turbo, με την κίνηση να μεταφέρεται στον εμπρός ή και στους δύο άξονες.

Bold new look expected to offer segment-best cargo space, third-row legroom
DETROIT — Chevrolet will complete the transformation of its crossover and SUV lineup with the introduction of the next-generation Traverse on Jan. 9 at the North American International Auto Show.
The all-new Traverse features a bold and refined design with seating for up to eight passengers. It’s expected to offer the segment’s best third-row legroom and maximum cargo space.
Premium interior and exterior design cues and new technologies abound, including available exclusive D-Optic headlamps that provide a natural daylight effect with a seamless light quality.
The 2018 Traverse will be Chevrolet’s latest crossover/SUV offering, joining the 2017 Bolt EV and Trax, the 2018 Equinox revealed in September and the full-size Tahoe and Suburban.
