New Thema, the first global flagship

Lancia new Thema debuts at Geneva, writing a new chapter in the legendary story of the brand. The first global flagship that combines the best of two worlds, the new rear-drive vehicle was created based on the Chrysler 300 and is ready, like the first Thema back in 1984, to take on the toughest, but also the most prestigious segment, striving to offer, at long last, a genuine alternative. To achieve this objective, the new Thema combines size, comfort and impressive road presence, typically American characteristics, with the luxury of Poltrona Frau® leather interiors, the cocooning silence of large Lancias and the attention to detail that all express the best of Italian design.
On sale from October in all European dealerships, Lancia new Thema is available in two trim levels – Gold and Platinum – and three engine versions: the 292 HP 3.6L V6 petrol engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox and the 190 HP or 224 HP 3.0L V6 diesel engines, both with 5-speed automatic gearbox.
Style

Measuring 5084 mm long, 1507 mm high, 1891 wide and with a wheelbase of 3051 mm, the new Thema stands out in the luxury saloon category thanks to its contemporary, distinctive style. On the front end, the grille brings together the Lancia logo and the horizontal bars expressing precision and formal rigour, in a single design. The chrome-plated finish of the bars and the outline of the logo create a particular contrast inside the frame, which is also chrome-plated. The whole look is enhanced by two innovative headlights with LED technology and the DRL function, which together form a “C” shape for unmistakable and impressive road presence.
The profile of the new Lancia flagship highlights the distinctive proportions of its predecessor, with the addition of luxury finishings which lend a stylish appearance. The sturdy front end joins with the lines of the roof, blending with the three-quarters of the back characterised by the unmistakable rear light clusters that complete the silhouette. What’s more, the angle of the windscreen guarantees an aerodynamic effect and the slim pillars enable the driver to benefit from excellent visibility.
Rounding off the car’s outstanding finishing, the rear end features a built-in spoiler with the Lancia logo sitting proudly below. Capable of lighting up the darkest night, the two harmoniously designed LED tail lights are linked by a chrome-plated fascia which underlines the class of the new flagship. The muscular front is echoed by two chrome-plated exhaust tail pipes which offer a stylistic reminder of the performance of the engines in the range.
Luxury and comfort

new Thema combines segment-leading standards with the unmistakable comfort and luxury that has always set Lancia cars apart. The interiors reveal a unique style and offer passengers excellent comfort, with soft touch materials, luxury interior trims with the option of heated seats in Nappa leather and a Poltrona Frau® leather-clad dashboard, as well as real wood inserts on the centre console, panels, doors and steering wheel. In addition, the dashboard has a three-dimensional effect, enhanced by discreet chrome finishing and by a dashboard with innovative double cluster design featuring Sapphire Blue lighting, a colour also used for the passenger compartment LED lighting. Moreover, in order to guarantee “best-in-class” comfort, the seats have been designed with new architecture which includes serpentine spring suspension (S-shaped). The front seats offer four-way lumbar adjustment with up/down and front/back direction actuators and density adjuster.
Maximising the innovative, ultra-rigid structural design, the Lancia new Thema unveils a best-in-class noise level inside the passenger compartment. The presence of two underbody panels in a composite material, a laminated windshield and windows, noise absorbing panels in the passenger compartment and in the cavities of the wheel arches all ensure excellent absorption of road noise and a significant improvement in on-board comfort.
Lastly, numerous components have been specially designed for the chassis of the new Thema with a view to guaranteeing the best driving and handling dynamics for all kinds of road surfaces and climate conditions. In particular, the innovative multi-link front and rear suspension system features a wishbone layout which, thanks to its high flexibility, keeps the wheels perpendicular to the road when cornering, ensuring maximum grip. The shock absorber has also been specifically designed to absorb every stress produced by a less than perfect road surface. The final result is an extremely quiet passenger compartment with virtually no external noise, with the motion of the car as it travels along the road barely perceptible.

Engines

Designed to deliver outstanding efficiency about town and on longer journeys, the Lancia new Thema offers a choice of three different 6-cylinder engines, all with automatic transmission and rear wheel drive: the advanced 292 HP 3.6L V6 petrol engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox and the 190 HP or 224 HP 3.0L V6 diesel engines, both with 5-speed automatic gearbox.
The petrol engine is a Pentastar V6 by Chrysler Group featuring the latest technology – in compliance with Euro 5 legislation – which enables the six cylinders to deliver 292 HP at 6400 rpm and maximum torque of 353 Nm at 4800 rpm with CO2 emissions of 199 g/km (combined cycle consumption: 8.3l/100km). This equipment level allows the new Thema to achieve a top speed of 230 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds: this result is also partly thanks to the new 8-speed gearbox.
The two Euro 5 diesel engines, supplied by the Italian manufacturer VM – leader in high-performance diesel power units – deliver 190 HP and 224 HP respectively and come with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Specifically, the 224 HP version boasts a maximum torque of 550 Nm at 1600-2800 rpm.
On-board technology

Lancia new Thema presents the innovative Uconnect® infotelematic system plus new on-board technology designed to keep passengers connected, safe and completely comfortable. From the touchscreen satellite navigation system and dual-zone climate control to the option of customising on-board functions, the Uconnect® Touch system guarantees an outstanding experience for driver and passengers alike. Fitted as standard on the new flagship, the system features a large 8.4 inch touchscreen with easy-to-use controls, and allows users to connect and manage their peripheral devices (mobile phones or MP3 players). Furthermore, on the Platinum trim level, Lancia Thema offers the exclusive Garmin satellite navigation system as standard which includes TMC Premium services, plus a premium audio system with 9 speakers and subwoofer for a total of 506W amplification.
Active and passive safety

Lancia new Thema offers more than 70 advanced active and passive safety features, including the Keyless Enter-N-Go and the electronic stability system (ESC) fitted as standard with the exclusive Ready Alert Braking and Rain Brake Support devices, designed to further enhance the handling and road performance of the car, plus Active Pedestrian Protection to safeguard pedestrians in the event of accidental impact. To ensure maximum visibility at night and in all poor light conditions, Lancia Thema offers Xenon SmartbeamTM self-adaptive headlights as standard.
Also available on request are a number of innovative, distinctive features which make the new Lancia model the true benchmark for the category.

Adaptive Speed Control (ACC) and Forward Collision Warning (FCS)

The limitations of traditional cruise control systems are overcome by Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). When the vehicle reaches another slower vehicle travelling in front, the ACC system adjusts the speed and (if necessary) activates braking to maintain a safe distance in the way pre-selected by the driver, allowing the latter to avoid frequent manual intervention. This equates to a far more relaxing, comfortable driving experience for the driver. This feeling of safety and wellbeing on board is further enhanced by Forward Collision Warning (FCS), the supplementary function which alerts the driver in the event of a potential collision. Lastly, the Adaptive Cruise Control system is optimised to prevent the undesirable consequences of high fuel consumption.
Blind Spot Detection

A visual indicator on the door mirror signals entry into the blind spot, namely the dangerous situation of having a car travelling alongside which is not visible in the door mirror. When the indicator is used to signal an intended lane change, a visual and audible alarm alerts the driver to check the position of vehicles around him very carefully before manoeuvring.

Cross Path Detection

The system prevents the risk of collisions at low speeds: a number of sensors detect the presence of moving vehicles while the driver is reversing.
Parkview(Tm) Rear Back-Up Camera

When reverse gear is engaged, a camera is automatically activated, showing the view of the road on an 8.4 inch screen built into the dashboard. This function ensures maximum safety for the driver, other vehicles and, above all, pedestrians.
SmartbeamTM and Hid Headlamps

Intelligent xenon headlights which automatically adjust in height and depth in order to guarantee maximum visibility, through a sensor that detects surrounding traffic/lighting conditions.

New Grand Voyager, an icon of the art of travel

A true icon of the MPV category with 27 years on the road and thirteen million units sold in 120 countries around the world, today the American model “marries” Italian style, metamorphosing into an exclusive top-range MPV in which Chrysler’s journey expertise joins forces with that of Lancia in driving pleasure, the art of attention to detail and Italian design. The result is the Lancia new Grand Voyager, the best Voyager ever which picks up where the Lancia Phedra left off to write another page in the history of this category.
Style

Available in three trim levels (Silver, Gold and Platinum) and two engine versions (the powerful, Euro 5-compliant 283 HP 3.6 petrol engine and the lively 163 HP 2.8 diesel, also Euro 5-compliant), Lancia new Grand Voyager unveils a brand new front end featuring the grille emblazoned with the Lancia logo, wraparound front and rear fascias, light clusters with LED lights, large headlights with built-in fog lights in the front bumper. In addition, the sides sport the typical wheel arch design, while the slim pillars coupled with large windows guarantee excellent visibility. The car is equipped with rails and crossbars on the roof while the tailgate has been redesigned with a modern, functional look in order to optimise access to the interior. The original rear spoiler provides the finishing touch for the new MPV.
The benchmark in the segment of large MPVs, Lancia new Grand Voyager is 5.14 metres long, 1.99 m wide, 1.72 m high on a wheelbase of approx. 3.1 metres. This impressive size is matched by a spacious, refined passenger compartment distinguished by quality materials and attention to detail, characteristics that have always been synonymous with Lancia. For example, depending on the trim level, the model comes with seats upholstered in fine fabric or top quality Nappa leather.
In an ideal world, space is once again an element that man can mould to suit his needs through a few simple, intuitive gestures: Stow ‘n Go® is the exclusive system which frees up all the space needed for passengers and their luggage, without having to remove any seats. This innovative configuration system includes seats which can be folded away into the floor panel to transform, with the utmost ease, the five comfortable seats of the second and third row into an ample load surface, suitable for all travel and work requirements. Also, if the seats are kept upright, the practical compartments in the floor panel can be used for storage. And again with maximum versatility in mind, the new car features sliding doors and tailgate (electrically operated) with a safety system for the detection of the presence of obstacles during closure (in this case, doors are opened again to avoid unfortunate accidents).
On-board technology

Synonymous with uncompromising choice (for the driver, but also for those who have the pleasure of being a passenger), Lancia new Grand Voyager features the sophisticated Uconnect® Tunes multimedia entertainment system with Radio/CD/DVD/MP3/WMA, USB port, AUX input, 30GB hard-disk, touchscreen, plus a Bluetooth®-ready UConnect® device with voice commands and microphone built into the rear view mirror. Also included is the ParkViewTM system with rear camera to view obstacles during parking. Available on request is UConnect® GPS, which adds satellite navigation with 2D and 3D bird’s eye view maps and progressive route guidance.
The experience of travelling on board the Lancia new Grand Voyager is completed by a nine-speaker audio system with subwoofer and 506 watt amplifier as well as an entertainment system with dual LCD screen DVD player for passengers in the middle and back rows. This particular deviceenables reproduction of two different media at the same time – chosen from many sources (radio, hard disk, AUX input, USB port, two RGB inputs and two DVD players) – on two 9″ LCD screens complete with remote control and two-channel wireless headphones. In addition, adjustable LED roof lights, inspired by aeronautical design, enable light to be directed only where required.
Engines

Design and comfort are not the only fortes of the Lancia new Grand Voyager. Sure enough, the model proposes two Euro5-compliant engines which enhance the dimension of travel, with engineering and performance coming together to deliver comfort beyond compare. The lively Diesel 2.8 CRD with particulate filter as standard delivers 163 HP and a torque of 360Nm, keeping fuel consumption low (8.4 l/100 km in the combined cycle), which translates into considerable journey range, while CO2 emissions are 227 g/km.
The second engine in the range is the 3.605 HP petrol model with 6 cylinders configured in a 60° V, which delivers 283 HP. Thrilling performance with fuel consumption of 12.3 l/100 km in the combined cycle. Note that the 283 HP 3.6 is combined with a 6-speed automatic gearbox with torque converter: this transmission offers closer spacing between the gears, limiting engine speed changes between the different transmission ratios and guaranteeing smoother engagements suited to all driving situations.
Safety

new Grand Voyager is also at the cutting edge when it comes to safety features, as can be seen from the next-generation front airbags (both multi-stage), side window bags on the three rows of seats and side bags for shoulder and chest in the front row. Also available is an assisted parking system with the option of integrating a “rear back-up camera” with a screen showing a precise view of what is behind the vehicle during reversing.

New Flavia and new Flavia Cabrio Concept: a glimpse of the Lancia future

Exploring the potential of the Lancia-Chrysler alliance, the Geneva motor show unveils the original Lancia Flavia Concept – a D segment saloon and convertible – which embraces the stylistic features of the Italian manufacturer, giving a unique interpretation of the Chrysler 200 model which could be launched on European markets in record time (production could start in just 6 months).
In terms of length, height and width, the Lancia Flavia Concept (saloon and convertible) is at the top of segment D, guaranteeing exceptional roominess and on-board comfort. In particular, the exterior design of the Lancia Flavia Concept is characterised by clean surfaces and elegant lines, as well as a distinctive new grille emblazoned with the Lancia logo and original front headlights and fog lights. Adding to the stylish exterior look are LED tail lights and the third brake light, also with LED technology, positioned high up in the centre of the boot. Also, the convertible model features a refined soft top with electric control.
In keeping with the goal of offering unparalleled comfort, the Lancia Flavia Concept saloon features a soundproofed passenger compartment which benefits from laminated windscreen and windows, as well as new sound absorbing materials present throughout the vehicle for outstanding quietness and comfort. The convertible version also boasts plenty of space to accommodate four adults comfortably.
Both configurations of Lancia Flavia Concept are characterised by interiors in fine leather, confirming the world-renowned signature Lancia quality, and by an extensive array of equipment with impressive features as standard: from electronic stability control (ESC), numerous airbags (multi-stage front, side and window bags) and electronic traction control to a steering wheel with integrated controls for completely safe management of radio, cruise control and mobile phone.

New Delta, the evolution of the compact flagship

Presented at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 2008, Lancia Delta is the Brand’s milestone model which heralded a new concept, bringing the attributes of a flagship to segment C. Sure enough, its 4.5 metres pack in all the luxury and interior space of a higher category: the seats recline into chaise-longues, the upholstery reveals quality textures and passengers are cocooned by an almost magical comfort and silence on every journey. So, Delta is the compact flagship that fulfils the modern requirements of mobility and prestige thanks to the concept of “downsizing”, i.e. ensuring performance and luxury of a superior level at reduced cost, size and fuel consumption levels. It is in this context that the range unveils the latest innovations: a brand-new grille designed to reflect the new Lancia family feeling, plus new proposals in terms of trim level and engine versions (including the new 105 HP Euro 5-compliant 1.6 MultiJet engine).
The new Delta will go on sale from mid-March across key European markets and from June under the Chrysler badge in Great Britain and Ireland.

Design reflecting Italian style and unparalleled on-board comfort

Embodying the best of Italian design, the Lancia new Delta stands out in the current car design panorama thanks to the beauty of its external lines, which are modern, sophisticated and unmistakably Italian. The front end of the Lancia Delta is feisty and imposing, emphasised by the size of the wings and characterised by an impressive new grille, emblematic of the brand, designed by the Centro Stile Lancia. The new grille celebrates the symbol of the alliance between two continents, Europe and America, in the new product family which Lancia is set to unveil in 2011. The sculpted bonnet and flowing lines of the wheel arches come together on the front end in the grille, while the dynamic design of the car is further highlighted by the generous lower air intake, which speaks volumes about the temperament of the Lancia Delta’s engine. And the whole vehicle is made even sportier and more high-tech by the innovative headlights, real gems of design and engineering, enhanced by a row of LEDs on the lower profile.
The car’s sleek lines are complemented both by chrome mouldings, and by the colour contrast of the lower part of the matt grey door sill which reflects the two-tone colour scheme of the roof, available both in matt and glossy versions. Rounding off the offering for exteriors, Lancia Delta can be requested with the exclusive Black and Hard Black Packs, which make the car even more unique and exclusive. In particular, the Black Pack comprises 18” matt black alloy wheels, chrome-plated mirror fairings and twin exhaust and “Eclissi” black non-standard pastel paint. The Hard Black pack reproposes the design concept of the Special Series of the same name introduced in 2010, characterised by a distinctive matt black body treatment: Delta was the first car not produced in a limited series to sport this exclusive paint finish – called “Cosmo Black” – which requires a long painting process (over 4 hours per car).
Like the exterior, the interior of the Lancia new Delta also represents the epitome of Italian style, thanks to the quality of materials used and exquisite attention to detail.
Starting from the new Steel trim level, which proposes seats upholstered in high-tech fabric, the range is completed with the Silver, Gold and Platinum trim levels. The Silver Version introduces a stylish combination of leather and high-tech Chevron fabric, available in beige and grey/black. Adding to the uniqueness of the Lancia Delta, the Gold trim level features the luxurious combination of leather and Alcantara® as standard, a characteristic that makes Delta the only car in its class to offer such a fine leather in three colours (available in blue, beige or black) as standard. Moreover, stitched onto sections in Alcantara® are leather “tapes” that emphasise the finely crafted nature of the interior and enhance the design of the seats themselves, making them highly original and exclusive. Lastly, the Platinum trim level includes Poltrona Frau® full grain leather upholstery as standard, plus a leather-clad dashboard with hand-worked top stitching: it is a touch of exclusivity that combines Lancia class with the refinement of Poltrona Frau®, one of the most famous Italian designer labels in the world. That’s not all. Lancia new Delta is the only car in its segment to offer luxury upholstery in Poltrona Frau® leather, available in black, blue and beige with exclusive contrasting piping.
The lounge-like feel of the passenger compartment is enhanced by a sliding rear seat with reclining backrest (it can be tilted to 25°) that allows the already spacious boot (380 litres, 465 with the sliding rear seats) to be increased. Alternatively, the seat can be pushed back and tilted for total relaxation, like a business class seat on an intercontinental flight. Note that the new Delta is the only hatchback saloon to offer the possibility of adjusting the rear seat backrest and sliding the seat. Lastly, fitted as standard with the Platinum trim level is the exclusive Executive rear seat which offers the same comfort as a business-class seat on any intercontinental flight.

Innovative and eco-friendly engines

Lancia new Delta expresses its core values through its engines and engineering too. First and foremost, the “temperament” of its petrol and diesel engines, which offer outstanding technological innovation and performance, as well as being Euro 5-compliant. All are supercharged and combined with 6-speed gearboxes (manual, robotised or automatic), and there are 7 to choose from in the new range: petrol, 120 HP 1.4 Turbo Jet (also dual fuel petrol/LPG), 140 HP 1.4 MultiAir and the 200 HP 1.8 Di Turbo Jet in conjunction with the Sportronic 6-speed automatic gearbox; diesel, the brand new 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet and the tried-and-tested 120 HP 1.6 MultiJet (also with Selectronic robotised gearbox), 165 HP 2.0 MultiJet and the mighty 190 HP 1.9 Twin Turbo MultiJet.
One engine that deserves a closer look is the new Euro 5-compliant 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet which perfectly combines the best features of MultiJet turbodiesel engines with the tax breaks and other advantages deriving from the “downsizing” design philosophy. It is therefore the ideal solution for those seeking an effective compromise between respect for the environment and low running costs, without sacrificing power and flexibility, for real driving satisfaction.
In particular, like the 120 HP version, the 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet offers exceptional torque delivery in absolute terms, which is all the more impressive when one considers the cylinder capacity: a torque of 300 Nm makes this engine a performance leader amongst power units with capacities less than or equal to 1.8 litres. If we take into account that the maximum torque is delivered at just 1500 rpm, we are able to immediately appreciate the extent to which the 1.6 MultiJet represents a revolution compared to present-day diesel engines: no other engine, however recent, can offer such a high torque delivery at such a low rpm. To sum things up, the new 1.6 MultiJet offers exhilarating driveability that is hard to match. This is proven by the acceleration (from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10.7 seconds) and the top speed (186 km/h). All these technological solutions put together enable the engine to achieve Euro 5-compliance, with CO2 emissions of 120 g/km in the combined cycle (in compliance with standards of individual European countries).
The 105 HP 1.6 MultiJet engine is combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox which, especially at motorway or main road speeds, ensures a lower engine speed with the added twofold advantage of less noise in the passenger compartment and a reduction in “real” consumption.

On-board technology

Absolute Handling System and DST (Drive Steering Torque)
To ensure that the driver is in perfect control of the car, Lancia new Delta adopts the “Absolute Handling System” – the evolution of ESP (Electronic Stability Program) – the system which intervenes in conditions approaching the limit, when vehicle stability is at risk, and assists the driver in controlling the car. In addition, the Absolute Handling System is combined with: the Hill Holder system, which assists the driver in hill starts; the ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) system, which optimises traction at any speed, with the help of the brakes and engine management; and the MSR (Motor Schleppmoment Regelung) system, which intervenes if there is a sudden change to a lower gear, by supplying torque to the engine. The Absolute Handling System on the Lancia new Delta is highly advanced inasmuch as it introduces several fundamentally important functions such as, for example, LTF (Linearization Torque Feedback) and TTC (Torque Transfer Control). The new handling system always intervenes “discreetly” owing to its combination with the DST (Drive Steering Torque), the “active electronic steering” which automatically carries out corrections and also controls oversteer on surfaces with low grip. In detail, the DST (Drive Steering Torque) carries out corrections automatically, helps maintain vehicle control and makes the intervention of the Absolute Handling System more “discreet”.
Lastly, the TTC (Torque Transfer Control) improves the transfer of drive torque to the wheels and, in particular, guarantees excellent cornering behaviour, thus making the car safer and more enjoyable during a sporty drive or in poor road grip conditions (in other words, the TTC system electronically simulates the presence of a self-locking differential).

Reactive Suspension System
The Reactive Suspension System – through real-time electronic control of the shock absorbers – reduces vehicle oscillation in all driving conditions, ensuring better safety, comfort and handling. Using sensors, the system identifies the best control mechanisms for the driving and road surface conditions. Among these mechanisms is the “Sky Hook” function, which isolates the passenger compartment by completely isolating and protecting it from outside stresses and strains.
The Reactive Suspension System shortens the car’s stopping distance (by around 5% thanks to optimum contact between tyre and road) and ensures timely intervention in the event of emergency manoeuvres, thus restoring safe conditions smoothly.

Driving Advisor
Lancia new Delta proposes the “Driving Advisor” system, an important preventive safety feature which alerts the driver if he inadvertently strays too close to the side of the lane. Active when the vehicle is travelling at a speed of between 65 and 180 km/h, the system sends a tug of torque to the steering wheel to alert the driver that he has crossed the lane marking.
The “Driving Advisor” system is intended to prevent dangerous situations caused by driver distraction. The torque generated on the steering wheel not only opposes the car’s crossing of the side lines, but also provides an indication of the steering action to carry out in order to bring the vehicle back into the centre of the lane, thus correcting the drive trajectory. The driver, nonetheless, maintains full control of driving and is always able to oppose the torque on the steering wheel if he deems necessary.

Blue&Me™
Characterised by simplicity of use, the device allows you to make/receive telephone calls and listen to music safely and simply while you drive, and thanks to Bluetooth® technology, it lets you communicate with the outside world from the car using your own personal devices like mobile phones and hand-held devices. The new Blue&MeTM system takes a further step forward with the addition of new functions which confirm the platform’s great flexibility. By connecting a digital device to the USB port, you can listen to hours and hours of digital music in MP3, WMA and WAV formats loaded onto a mobile phone, MP3 player or USB pen drive. What’s more, for enhanced compatibility with iPods and iPhones, in the Lancia new Delta you can also listen – in addition to the previously mentioned formats – to AAC audio files, as long as they are DRM-free and saved in Hard Disk Drive mode. In addition, a practical Aux-in socket allows the driver and passengers to connect any audio device with ease.

Instant Nav
Fitted as standard on the Platinum trim level, Lancia new Delta can be fitted with “Instant Nav”, an innovative, latest-generation infotelematic system which includes map satellite navigation (comprehensive map of Europe as standard), a dual tuner radio receiver and MP3-CD player in a single device built into the dashboard; being compatible with Blue&Me™, media player functions can also be provided by connecting pen drives, iPods, iPhones, etc to the USB port and Bluetooth hands-free function for a personal mobile phone. Produced by Magneti Marelli, the device is housed in the centre of the instrument panel, boasts a 6.5 inch colour screen in 16:9 format and is visible, bright and clear regardless of the light conditions.
What’s more, from April, Lancia Delta will be the first car by the Group to avail of the new map update programme NAVTEQ® MapCare™. The new programme simplifies distribution of map updates: new owners will receive the maps automatically each year – a total of two updates. A recent study reveals that drivers who use the satellite navigation system can reduce their overall annual mileage by almost 2,500 kilometres, saving over 400 euros in fuel. So, it is important to update maps regularly.
The implementation of the NAVTEQ® MapCare™ service allows drivers to have the very latest maps at their disposal for optimum use of their satellite navigation systems.

Magic Parking
Lancia new Delta has an innovative parking aid which helps the driver to judge whether a space is big enough and to actually carry out the parking manoeuvre. First, the system measures the length of the free space and indicates whether it is big enough for your car. Then, it automatically steers the car during reversing, allowing the driver to concentrate solely on controlling speed by using the accelerator and brake.
With one single manoeuvre, the vehicle parallel parks in such a way to limit the number of subsequent realignments made by the driver. Of course, the driver is always in control by operating the pedals, and can deactivate the system by turning the steering wheel or disengaging reverse gear, or by pressing the appropriate button.
