Το νέο Volkswagen Beetle μπορεί να το είδαμε πίσω από ένα παραβάν στο show της Oprah τον περασμένο Νοέμβριο αλλά οι άνθρωποι της VW ανακοίνωσαν σήμερα ότι θα παρουσιαστεί επίσημα στις 18 του Απρίλη. Το αυτοκίνητο θα παρουσιαστεί ταυτόχρονα σε ειδική εκδήλωση στο Βερολίνο, στην έκθεση της Σανγκάη αλλά και στην έκθεση της Νέας Υόρκης. Για να πετύχει όσο μεγαλύτερη έκθεση μπορεί, η VW ανακοίνωσε ότι θα συνεργαστεί με το MTV όπου θα προμοτάρουν το νέο Beetle οι Black Eyed Peas στη Νέα Υόρκη και οι 2manydjs στο Βερολίνο
Το αυτοκίνητο διατηρεί την ίδια σχεδιαστική φιλοσοφία, διαθέτει διπλές απολήξεις των εξατμίσεων και πατά πάνω σε ζάντες 19″. Εκεί που έχουν γίνει δραματικές – προς το καλύτερο – αλλαγές, είναι στο εσωτερικό του, αφού χρησιμοποιήθηκαν καλύτερης ποιότητας υλικά, ο χώρος των επιβατών μεγάλωσε και έχει τοποθετηθεί το νέο RNS σύστημα ψυχαγωγίας της εταιρίας
Δύο εβδομάδες υπομονή ώστε να δούμε το νέο Σκαθάρι με τις πωλήσεις στην Αμερική να ξεκινούν από το φθινόπωρο ενώ στην Ευρώπη θα είναι διαθέσιμο λίγο αργότερα.

The 21st Century Beetle – World Debut on three continents
Launch of alliance between Volkswagen and MTV
Wolfsburg/London, 04 April 2011 – In just a few weeks, Volkswagen will write another chapter in the history of an automotive icon. On April 18th, the Beetle will be showcased to the public in its best remake – and with spectacular world debut staging. Volkswagen will be celebrating the new Beetle almost simultaneously as a world premiere in Shanghai with MTV’s VJ guest hosting an exclusive MTV Sound System followed by World Stage events in New York and Berlin.
Appearing at the World Stage Event in New York will be The Black Eyed Peas performing hits from their latest album The Beginning as well as some of their most loved material from the past at Terminal 5, and in Berlin (E-Werk) the MTV World Stage Party, will be headlined by Belgian duo 2manydjs performing a DJ set. The World Stage in New York, will be the most widely distributed World Stage event to date and highlights of both events will be available on www.worldstage.mtv.com.
The World Stage show from New York City will be streamed live (excluding the UK) and highlights from the show will be broadcast later on MTV channels around the world.
