Το πρώτο Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid που κυκλοφορεί στην Ευρώπη παραδόθηκε σήμερα στον Πρίγκιπα Αλβέρτο του Μονακό, αντικαθιστώντας το Prius. Τα κλειδιά στον Αλβέρτο τα έδωσε ο Πρόεδρος και Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Toyota Motor Europe, Didier Leroy.
Το Prius Plug-in Hybrid έχει μέση κατανάλωση μόλις 2.1 λίτρα/100 χλμ με 49 γρ/χλμ εκπομπές CO2. Το Prius Plug-in μπορεί να κινηθεί για 25 χλμ αποκλειστικά με τον ηλεκτροκινητήρα του και σε σχέση με το “απλό” Prius καταναλώνει 1.6 λίτρα λιγότερα (3.7 λίτρα/100 χλμ) και 36 γρ/χλμ λιγότερες εκπομπές CO2 (85 γρ/χλμ).
Το Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid φορά τον 1.800αρη βενζινοκινητήρα απόδοσης 99 ίππων ο οποίος συνδυάζεται με έναν ηλεκτροκινητήρα απόδοσης 60 kW (82 ίππων) ο οποίος τροφοδοτείται από μια μπαταρία ιόντων λιθίου 4.4 kWh. Συνολικά αποδίδει 136 άλογα με τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα να τα κάνει σε 10.7 δευτ. με τελική ταχύτητα 180 χλμ/ώρα.

EUROPE’S FIRST PRODUCTION PRIUS PLUG-IN HYBRID DELIVERED TO H.S.H. PRINCE ALBERT II OF MONACO
- His Serene Highness Prince Albert II continues his association with Prius, taking delivery of Europe’s first production Prius Plug-in

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco today took delivery of the very first production Toyota Prius Plug-in available in Europe for a two month loan. The new vehicle could soon replace the standard Prius His Serene Highness currently uses.
“We are proud to deliver our first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle in Europe to His Serene Highness,” said Didier Leroy, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe. “We are honoured to continue our long standing partnership to contribute to the environmental and sustainability objectives defined by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.”
In February, 2012, the Monegasque government introduced a new incentive scheme under the direction of His Serene Highness to encourage environmentally friendly vehicles in the Principality. The scheme allows for subsidies of €5,500 for full hybrid vehicles emitting less than 60 g/km of CO2, while full electric vehicles can receive subsidies of up to €9,000.
Leading by example, His Serene Highness will now use the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid for private purposes, a vehicle delivering low CO2 emissions of 49 g/km. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid incorporates a lithium-ion battery to offer an EV driving range of 15.5 miles, and can be recharged in 90 minutes. Beyond the electric driving range, the new Prius Plug-in Hybrid can be used as a conventional full hybrid, like standard Prius, giving fuel economy of up to 78.5mpg on the combined cycle.
With a choice of 424 free charging stations in Monaco, the Prius Plug-in Hybrid can travel around the Principality using pure electric mode, generating zero CO2, NOx or particulate matter emissions.
