Marrakech meets Mulliner
After the car-wrapping experts of FolienCenter-NRW had caused quite a stir only a few weeks ago with an Audi TT RS that was packaged in bright “chrome red” prototype foil, the wrapping specialists from Haan are now rolling out a vehicle of completely different character for public view.
FolienCenter-NRW wrapped this VW Passat CC on customer’s order, in a high-grade Marrakech brown-matt taken from the Hexis foil program. In contrast to the warm brown colour shade, the roof, the external rear-view mirrors and the radiator grill of the elegant coupé-limousine were also covered in glossy black. A three-dimensional “R” relief that was worked into the broad C-column in the wrapping dress is naturally reflected in the factory-installed R-line bodywork package of the luxurious flagship of Wolfsburg.
Talking of luxury: The absolute luxury class undoubtedly includes the Bentley Mulliner rims with matt-black stars turning in the wheel houses and the white Bentley “B“ on red soil that are simply perfect matches for the CC. The 9×20-inch Nobel wheels were applied with Nankang NS-II rubber of the dimension 225/30R20.
Moreover, with its opulent lowering, the DDC coilover kit that was produced by KW for gepfeffert.com ensures that the wheel/tyre combination is also fully fitted in the wheel houses and thus perfectly accentuated.
The 2.0 litre TDI engine beneath the long engine hood was also of immense help to SKN. The performance output of the Common Rail self-igniting engine was successfully boosted from 170 to about 210 Horse Power using the “stage 1” engine map optimization. Parallel to this, the maximum torque grew to more than 400 Newton meters leading to a powerful thrust whenever the accelerator is pressed.
FolienCenter-NRW was also active on the interior of the Passat CC: The aluminium surface of the R-line package on the dashboard, centre console and door linings were wrapped in the colour of the car. Moreover, the R-line sports steering wheel that is flattened below and the R-line aluminium pedal systems are distinctive highlights.
