Νέα εβδομάδα, νέο ελαφρύ σπορ αυτοκίνητο, αυτή την φορά από τον επίσημο εισαγωγέα του BAC Mono της Αμερικής, Sector111, ο οποίος συνεργάστηκε με την Palatov Motorsport και ετοίμασαν ένα νέο αυτοκίνητο.
Με κωδική ονομασία Project Dragon το track-ready σπορ αυτοκίνητο διαθέτει σωληνωτό πλαίσιο, κινητήρα τοποθετημένο στο κέντρο, με το σώμα του να μην έχει ολοκληρωθεί ακόμη, αλλά θα αποτελείται από ελαφριά μέρη.
Βασίζεται πάνω στο αγωνιστικό Palatov D2 και ζυγίζει κοντά στα 815 κιλά, παίρνοντας κίνηση από έναν V8 κινητήρα απόδοσης 430 ίππων με 574 Nm ροπής που συνδυάζεται με ένα 6-τάχυτο μηχανικό κιβώτιο της Porsche. Θα μπορεί να κινηθεί νόμιμα στις 50 Πολιτείες των Η.Π.Α και εκτός από το Mono, θα τεθεί απέναντι και από το Ariel Atom. Οι πωλήσεις του θα ξεκινήσουν από το φθινόπωρο του 2014 με κόστος περίπου $90.000 (€55.000).

Sector111 and Palatov Motorsport to Develop a new Light Sports Car

Temecula, CA-Sector111, LLC, the industry leader in lightweight sports car market, has partnered with Palatov Motorsport, LLC., to develop a new 1800lb sports car featuring a 430hp, 50 State emissions compliant, V8 engine.
Sector111, will develop an exclusive variant of the D2 sports car engineered by Palatov. The D2 has been developed over the last couple of years along with several other lightweight cars. Sector111 plan to sell their exclusive version, code named Project Dragon, though out North America. Sector111 will also sell and service the complete range of Palatov cars in the Southern California market.
