H Volkswagen ανακοίνωσε πως τον περασμένο Φεβρουάριο πούλησε σε όλο τον κόσμο 407.600 αυτοκίνητα, παρουσιάζοντας αύξηση 1,5% σε σχέση με την ίδια περσινή περίοδο, ενώ τους δύο πρώτους μήνες πούλησε 923.100 αυτοκίνητα (+3,3%).

Στην Ευρώπη τον Φεβρουάριο πουλήθηκαν 245.200 νέα VW (+5,9%). Στην Κεντρική και Ανατολική Ευρώπη οι πωλήσεις αυξήθηκαν κατά 2,7% (39.900 μονάδες) ενώ στη Ρωσία μειώθηκαν κατά 11 % (20.000 μονάδες). Στη Δυτική Ευρώπη, εκτός Γερμανίας, οι πωλήσεις αυξήθηκαν κατά 7,8% (124.800 μονάδες) ενώ και στη Γερμανία οι πωλήσεις σημείωσαν αύξηση της τάξεως του 4,6% (80.600).

Στη περιοχή Ασίας-Ειρηνικού πουλήθηκαν 472.700 αυτοκίνητα (+11,6%) ενώ στη Κίνα οι πωλήσεις ανήλθαν σε 437.700 αυτοκίνητα (+11,6%). Στη Βόρειο Αμερική η VW πούλησε 81.900 αυτοκίνητα (-9,3%), στις Η.Π.Α 50.600 αυτοκίνητα (-16,3%) και στη Νότιο Αμερική 92.100 αυτοκίνητα (-18,1%). Στη Βραζιλία πουλήθηκαν 70.500 νέα Volkswagen (-14,2%), ενώ στην Ινδία 6.500 αυτοκίνητα (-33,9%).

Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand delivers 923,100 vehicles in first two months / +3.3 percent

Volkswagen Passenger Cars delivered 923,100 (January-February 2013: 893.300; +3.3 percent) vehicles to customers in the first two months of this year. The brand also grew deliveries for the month of February, when customers took possession of 407,600 (February 2013: 401,400; +1.5 percent) new vehicles. “Even though the situation in some markets was at times difficult, the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand continued to develop well in the first two months of the year”, Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, said. “There was high demand in particular for the up!, Golf and Golf Estate as well as the Touran and Tiguan”, Klingler added.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 245,200 (231,600; +5.9 percent) vehicles on the overall European market in the period to February. Deliveries in Western Europe (excluding Germany) rose 7.8 percent to 124,800 (115,700) units. In Germany, Volkswagen Passenger Cars grew deliveries in the first two months to 80,600 (77,000; +4.6 percent) vehicles. In the Central and Eastern Europe region, 39,900 (38,800; +2.7 percent) customers took possession of a new Volkswagen. In Russia, deliveries fell to 20,000 (22,500; -11.0 percent) units as a result of the difficult market situation.

The brand recorded a 11.1 percent rise in deliveries in the Asia-Pacific region in January and February, handing over 472,700 (425,500) vehicles, of which 437,700 (392,300; +11.6 percent were delivered in China (incl. Hong Kong). Volkswagen handed over 6,500 (9,800; -33.9 percent) vehicles in India during the first two months.

Deliveries by the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand in North America were down 9.3 percent to 81,900 (90,300) units, of which 50,600 (60,500; -16.3 percent) were handed over in the United States. The company delivered 92,100 (112,400; -18.1 percent) vehicles in the South America region in the period to February, of which 70,500 (82,100; -14.2 percent) were handed over in Brazil.
