Η άγνωστων στοιχείων βελτιωτική εταιρία mbDESIGN παρουσίασε ένα full aftermarket πακέτο για το Audi R8 V8.

Στιλιστικά του έχει τοποθετήσει αυτοκόλλητο βινυλίου που θυμίζει αυτό που τοποθετεί ο Jon Olsson στα αυτοκίνητα του, αλλά πραγματικά προέρχεται από το μαχητικό F16 Arctic Aggressor. Ακόμα του έχει τοποθετήσει carbon εμπρός splitter, πλαϊνές ποδιές, διαχύτη από την SuperCar24, καπάκια εξωτερικών καθρεφτών και εισαγωγές αέρα, με τις τελευταίες να προέρχονται από το R8 V10. Ακόμα, πατάει πιο χαμηλά στο δρόμο με ένα GT coilover kit, ενώ φοράει 20άρες ζάντες αλουμινίου με ελαστικά διαστάσεων 235/20 εμπρός και 305/25 για τον πίσω άξονα.Audi R8 by mbDESIGN

Μηχανικά ο ατμοσφαιρικός V8 4,2-λίτρων αποδίδει 453 άλογα, εξαιτίας ενός φίλτρου της K&N, εξάτμισης της Capristo και αναβαθμισμένου προγράμματος.

Camouflage fighter!

Car wrapping is definitely THE discovery of the past years that accounts for a true revolution in the tuning scene. No more expensive painting but a mere endless array of colors, samples, surfaces and design options to choose from. It’s all a freaky affair with this Audi R8 at mbDESIGN because it was here that the agency “raum22” performed a full wrapping in the design of the F16 Arctic Aggressor fighter jet.

To match the aggressive looks, exclusive mbDESIGN KV1 rims in dull gray with camouflage rim bed rotate in the wheelhouses of the sports car from Ingolstadt; in the format 9×20 inches ET34 with 235/30ZR20 in front and 12×20 inches ET42 with 305/25ZR20 Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires in the rear. Practical: There is a TÜV parts expertise for this wheel/tire combination to facilitate smooth registration in the vehicle documents. While the “normal” concave version of the KV1 is used on the front axle, the “deep concave“ variation provides an impressive disposition on the rear axle with its particularly distinctive concavity. In any case, the KV1 perfectly matches the exterior wrapping of the sports car. The chassis is lowered through a GT coil-over kit which finally beams a perfect light on the wheelhouses.

Retouch works on the body was a complex affair because the 2009 model was given a completely new facelift on the front apron including the original carbon front splitter and the side skirts and side blades of the big V10 model. The rear was also completely redesigned with an original GT carbon rear wing, an original GT carbon rear panel and a custom full-carbon trunk cover. The whole thing is rounded up by a full-carbon diffuser from SuperCar24, original Audi carbon mirror caps and an engine compartment and trunk cover lining made of full carbon.

The V8 now has 453 HP thanks to a K&N motorsports air filter and reworked engine software. The exhaust gases are processed by a sophisticated Capristo stainless steel exhaust system with electronic valve control.

However work was also done on the interior because in addition to the original GT carbon package and the Bang&Olufsen sound system, a complete handmade Alcantara full-loading was also installed. The trunk liner made of Alcantara is also handmade and the interior cover of the trunk is equally made of carbon.
