H αγωνιστική ομάδα M-Sport, που έχει αναλάβει την προετοιμασία των αυτοκίνητων της Ford σε όλα τα πρωταθλήματα, συνεργάστηκε με την βρετανική εταιρία Van Sport και παρουσίασαν μια ειδική, και περιορισμένη έκδοση του Transit.
Η παρουσίαση του αυτοκινήτου συνέπεσε με την 50ή επέτειο κυκλοφορίας του βαν της εταιρίας, με τις δύο εταιρίας να δηλώνουν ότι προσπάθησαν να του προσδώσουν την δυναμική εμφάνιση του Ford Fiesta RS που τρέχει στο παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα ράλλυ. Το βαν φοράει bodykit εμπνευσμένο από το WRC, νέα εξάτμιση ενσωματωμένη στον πίσω προφυλακτήρα, αεροτομή στο τελείωμα της πίσω πόρτας, πατάει χαμηλότερα εξαιτίας των ελατηρίων της Eibach, ενώ φοράει 18άρες ζάντες της OZ. Στο εσωτερικό υπάρχει δερμάτινο τιμόνι, με τον πίνακα οργάνων να έχει την υπογραφή της M-Sport, ενώ δεν έγινε αναφορά για τα μηχανικά μέρη.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary for Ford’s critically-acclaimed Transit van, UK-based company Van Sport has developed a limited edition Transit in association with M-Sport.
Replicating the dynamic appearance of M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car (WRC), this special edition Transit comes complete with a WRC inspired bodykit and hand-crafted leather interior.
Eibach lowered suspension and OZ Racing wheels with 18″ Michelin tyres highlight links to the World Rally Team, while a remodelled steering wheel with M-Sport branded dials and floor mats add some finishing touches. A new exhaust system – integrated into the rear bumper – completes the look alongside a striking roof spoiler.
A unique numbered plate identifies the limited edition status of the vehicle and an exclusive range of M-Sport branding options allow the buyer to specify their bespoke Transit to their own personal taste.
As a multiple winner of the International Van of the Year award, the Ford Transit is a proven success.
