H Volkswagen μαζί με το up! beats θα παρουσιάσει στη Γενεύη και την αντίστοιχη έκδοση του Polo. Το Polo beats, διαθέτει μαύρη γρίλια, κόκκινα καπάκια στους πλαϊνούς καθρέπτες, ζάντες αλουμινίου 16″, δερμάτινο τιμόνι και “beats” διακοσμητικά.
Φυσικά φορά το ηχοσύστημα της Beats που έχει σχεδιαστεί να προσφέρει “κρυστάλλινο ήχο”. Διαθέτει επτά ηχεία και ένα subwoofer στον χώρο της ρεζέρβας. Επίσης διαθέτει δύο woofer στις πόρτες, δύο tweeters στις μπροστά κολόνες και έναν οκτακάναλο ενισχυτή με ψηφιακό επεξεργαστή σήματος 300 watts.

Two genuine trendsetters with rich sound are all set to make waves in the small car segment. The overall concept of the ‘up! beats’ as well as the ‘Polo beats’ is defined by impressive sound. Both of the new models feature a 300 W premium sound system from the American audio specialists BeatsAudioTM, promising a state-of-the-art sound experience.
Jürgen Stackmann, member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Passenger Cars responsible for Sales, Marketing and After Sales, explains: “Hardly any other brand name stands for the attitude to life of generation Facebook like ‘Beats’. The strong brand image of ‘Beats’ helps us to address a younger target group. In addition, the new up! stands for modern mobility and entertainment.” And now two new special editions from Volkswagen being unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show also bear this iconic name. Both the up! beats as well as the Polo beats will feature a new, state-of-the-art sound system as standard. The system’s 300 watt and 8-channel amplifier is fitted with a digital signal processor (DSP). To deliver this crystal-clear sound, the system has seven high-end loudspeakers distributed around the interior: two tweeters in the A-pillars, two woofers in the front doors, two broadband loudspeakers in the back as well as a subwoofer integrated in the spare wheel well, which delivers powerful, punching bass tones. No matter whether it is hip hop, heavy metal, rock, pop or electronic music – you can really feel the music in the new beats special editions.
Over and above this, the two models take the limelight with trendy equipment: the up! beats can, for instance, be recognised from the outside by various features such as new 15-inch “Radial” alloy wheels, special beats design decals and contrasting colour door mirror caps, while the interior is given an individual look thanks to a specially designed dashpad, a multifunction steering wheel, a special door sill plate and colour-coordinated seat belts.
The Polo beats, meanwhile, features the new 16-inch “Syenit” alloy wheels, coloured door mirrors and a gloss black radiator grille. The interior of this little boombox on wheels is characterised by the special “beats” design seats and door trim panels, coloured seat belts and a leather steering wheel.
The American audio specialist Beats Electronics – founded in 2008 by the hip hop producer Dr. Dre – made a big impact on the music scene, primarily with its headphones. Now the Californian company has significantly expanded its range: As well as wireless Bluetooth loudspeakers and sound systems, beats also offers its own online music streaming service.
