Η μεγαλύτερη έκθεση αυτοκινήτου του κόσμου ανοίγει τις πύλες της την 1η του Μάρτη και εκεί θα κάνουνε πρεμιέρα συνολικά 170 αυτοκίνητα με τα 40 από αυτά να οικολογικής και υβριδικής τεχνολογίας. Συνολικά 260 εκθέτες από 31 χώρες θα παρουσιάσουν περισσότερες από 700 μάρκες με μερικές εταιρίες όπως οι GTA Motor, De Tomaso, Ssangyong, Kellener Sport, MTM και Novidem να επιστρέφουν στη Γενεύη με νέα μοντέλα.
Εκτός από τις γνωστές εταιρίες και άλλες μικρότερες θα παρουσιάσουν εκεί “πράσινα” οχήματα όπως οι Somtechnika, Niama-Reisser, iEV1, SynergEthic, EOS SAS, INNOMOT, Greentech Energy, Cogitare Urbem, Dow Kokam et Meco World.
Η έκθεση θα λάβει μέρος στο Palexpo σε 7 περίπτερα συνολικής έκτασης 80.000 τετραγωνικών μέτρων. Οι πύλες θα ανοίξουν για τους δημοσιογράφους την 1η Μαρτίου όπου αναμένεται να παραβρεθούν περισσότεροι από 10.000 άνθρωποι των media για να καταγράψουν τα εκθέματα με 84 συνεντεύξεις τύπου να λαμβάνουν χώρα στην Ελβετική πόλη.
Για το κοινό οι πύλες θα ανοίξουν από τις 3 Μαρτίου και θα παραμείνουν ανοικτές για 11 ημέρες έως και τις 13 Μαρτίου. Αναμένεται ότι περίπου 700.000 θα είναι οι φετινοί επισκέπτες που θα μπορούν να επισκέπτονται την έκθεση από τις 10 το πρωί έως και τις 8 το βράδυ τις καθημερινές, και από τις 9 το πρωί έως τις 7 το βράδυ τα Σαββατοκύριακα.

A real automotive « eyeful » in Geneva!
The 81st Geneva International Motor Show, from March 3-13 2011, will present an extensive overview of automotive technology and design. All the major manufacturers, renowned bodywork designers, and top preparation specialists will be dazzling visitors with nearly 170 World and European Premieres. The trend toward “green” will continue with more than 40 premieres utilizing alternative and ecological technologies.
In the 7 exhibition halls of Palexpo, some 80,000 square meters will be occupied by 260 exhibitors representing more than 700 brands from 31 different countries. One entire hall will be dedicated to automobile accessories and equipment suppliers.
Among the new exhibitors this year will be the preparation specialists Kellener Sport, MTM and Novidem, plus the bodywork designer Invader. In addition, the manufacturer GTA Motor will be presenting at the Geneva Show for the first time. The marque De Tomaso will return after a 9 year absence, as well as Ssangyong from Korea, which has missed the last two editions.
During the two press days preceding the public opening, more than 10,000 media representatives from around the world will be able to select from a total of 84 press conferences to attend. On the second press day the exhibitors in the Green Pavilion will present their concepts, technologies and fuel options for the future. The Geneva International Motor Show will be inaugurated on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the presence of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Mrs. Micheline Calmy-Rey, plus numerous personalities from the worlds of politics, economics and industry. Some 700,000 visitors are expected during the 11 days of the Show, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekend.
