Η Aston Martin DBS βρίσκεται στην αγορά για περισσότερα από πέντε χρόνια, ενώ η DB9 πάνω στην οποία βασίζεται η DBS, κλείνει φέτος 8 χρόνια ζωής. Σίγουρα πολύς καιρός για ένα αυτοκίνητο. H Aston φαίνεται ότι θα ανανεώσει τα DB μοντέλα της μέσα στο 2012 με την νέα γενιά να παρουσιάζεται μετά το 2015, η οποία θα διαθέτει τη νέα VH αρχιτεκτονική της εταιρίας.
Σχεδιαστικά η ανανεωμένη DBS θα πάρει αρκετά σχεδιαστικά στοιχεία από την One-77. Η μπροστά μάσκα θα ανανεωθεί με την κλασσική γρίλια της εταιρίας να αντικαθίσταται από μια ενιαία γρίλια. Το καπό θα αποκτήσει επιπλέον οπές με την συνολική σχεδίαση να γίνεται ακόμη πιο επιθετική.
Μηχανικά ο V12 6.0-λίτρων θα αποδίδει 530 άλογα, 20 επιπλέον από το τωρινό μοντέλο με το βάρος του αυτοκινήτου να μειώνεται κατά 10% με 15% (180 κιλά) λόγω χρήσης αλουμινίου. Η ανανεωμένη DBS θα παρουσιαστεί στα τέλη του 2012 , ενώ η ανανεωμένη DB9 θα ακολουθήσει μερικούς μήνες αργότερα.

Tuesday 22nd June: Gaydon. Aston Martin Holdings (UK) Limited is pleased to announce the successful completion of its offering of £304,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Senior Secured Notes (the “Notes”).
The issue of the Notes will provide long-term financial stability for the next seven years and support Aston Martin’s continued development.
