Η οργανωτική επιτροπή του World Car of the Year (WCOTY) ανακοίνωσε σήμερα τα 28 αυτοκίνητα που θα ανταγωνιστούν για τον τίτλο του Παγκόσμιου αυτοκινήτου της χρονιάς για το 2014.
Πέρυσι νικητής ήταν το VW Golf 7, αλλά φέτος η VW δεν έχει κανένα μοντέλο της μέσα στη λίστα. Οι τελικοί νικητές, όπως πάντα θα ανακοινωθούν κατά την διάρκεια της Έκθεσης της Νέας Υόρκης τον Απρίλιο του 204. Αν διάλεγες εσύ, ποιο από αυτά θα ψήφιζες ώστε να ανακηρυχθεί αυτοκίνητο της χρονιάς;

BRITISH BUILT VEHICLE IN THE RUNNING FOR BIGGEST CAR AWARD ON THE PLANET
The official World Car of the Year (WCOTY) nominations list for 2014 is dominated by Japanese, German and American motor manufacturers.
South Korean and French companies have a strong presence too. Only one British-based firm – MINI – is in with a chance of winning the coveted World Car of the Year title next year.
Volkswagen (which has won the award on more occasions than any other manufacturer in recent years) has failed to make it onto the list for 2014. Its sister companies Audi, Seat and Skoda have been formally selected as candidates for the title – now rated as the number one car award on the planet.
The first round of voting for 66 WCOTY jurors from 21 countries will take place on February 4.
The World Car of the Year will be announced at the New York International Auto Show in April 2014.

World Car of the Year (WCOTY) has taken over as the biggest and best known automotive award on the planet, according to an international team of analysts from PRIME Research.
As part of the World Car Awards programme, WCOTY can now consider itself to be the leading competition, says PRIME whose offices in Europe, The Americas and Asia have been closely monitoring the colossal rise in popularity and credibility of WCA and WCOTY.
“World Car of the Year is now the most relevant and prominent automotive award globally,” PRIME researchers have declared in their latest Awards Report.
