Η VW ανακοίνωσε επίσης πως ετοιμάζει ένα νέο 10-τάχυτο DSG κιβώτιο, το οποίο θα μπορεί να διαχειριστεί ροπή μεγαλύτερη των 500 Nm, ενώ επιβεβαίωσε πως ο νέος 1.000αρης TSI τρικύλινδρος κινητήρας που πρόσφατα τοποθετήθηκε στο ανανεωμένο Polo, θα είναι διαθέσιμος και σε έκδοση CNG.
