Ξεκινά η εποχή των roadsters και παρότι το CitiJet δεν πρόκειται να βγει στην παραγωγή, η Skoda είχε καλό timing για την παρουσίαση του στο Wörthersee.
Το μικρό, διθέσιο, ανοιχτό αυτοκίνητο, βασίζεται φυσικά στο Citigo και δημιουργήθηκε από 16 μαθητευόμενους της Skoda. Το εξωτερικό είναι βαμμένο σε μπλε και λευκό χρώμα ενώ το look συμπληρώνουν οι λευκές ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος 16 ιντσών και οι διπλή απόληξη της εξάτμισης στο πίσω μέρος. Το πρωτότυπο διαθέτει επίσης αεροτομή και roll-bar. Το εσωτερικό προέρχεται από το CitigoSport και διαθέτει δερμάτινο τιμόνι, μαύρες και κόκκινες επενδύσεις καθισμάτων, γαλάζιο LED φωτισμό και ηχοσύστημα 300 W. Κάτω από το καπό, βρίσκουμε τον 1000άρη MPI κινητήρα που παράγει 75 ίππους και 95 Nm ροπής.

Mladá Boleslav/Reifnitz, 28 May 2014 – Pure emotion: ŠKODA will be presenting five fantastic sports models at this year’s GTI event at Wörthersee. The robust ŠKODA Yeti Xtreme showcar will be celebrating its world premiere. The event will also mark the debut of the ŠKODA CitiJet – a design concept built by ŠKODA apprentices. In addition, the Czech brand will be showing the ŠKODA Octavia Combi RS, ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback Red & Grey Collection and the ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 rally car. There is also going to be a spectacular racing event: visitors will be able to drive around a rapid circuit in mini racing cars in the ‘Crazy Rallye Ride’. ?
?This is the 33rd time that the legendary Volkswagen tuning event will be taking place. Around 200,000 tuning fans will be making the pilgrimage to the cult event in Reifnitz, Austria on Ascension Weekend (28 to 31 May). ŠKODA will be taking part in the GTI event for the fifth time and will this year be presenting their impressive range of sports vehicles – from dynamic compact cars to the ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 rally car.

The GTI event – as a major event for all tuning and motorsport fans – is a fantastic place to demonstrate this devotion with sporty and particularly emotional models.”
The world premiere of the ŠKODA Yeti Xtreme in Reifnitz is the manufacturer’s demonstration of a crisp and robust interpretation of the popular compact SUV. The ŠKODA Yeti was completely redesigned in 2013 and is now available in two exciting versions: the ŠKODA Yeti for the city and the adventurous ŠKODA Yeti Outdoor.
ŠKODA designers have provided the Yeti with a striking rally-design trim for this year’s Wörthersee event. The striking matt-grey vehicle with ŠKODA yellow/green accents stands on powerful 17-inch alloy wheels and large off-road tyres. The front of the vehicle features a powerful bumper and a large air intake. The ŠKODA Yeti Xtreme flexes its muscles with athletically shaped wings and mighty door sills. At the rear, the striking rear bumper and two wide exhaust pipes without silencers bear witness to the power and dynamics of the vehicle, both on a visual and an acoustic level. The interior features exclusive rally fittings, including four individual Recaro sports seats with integrated four-point harnesses, sports steering wheel with integrated gear-shift paddles. The inside door panels are made from carbon-fibre, the floor panels are aluminium. In the completely newly designed centre console you can find a belt cutter and a fire extinguisher, the dashboard features an iPad cradle.
The ŠKODA CitiJet is a dynamically and expressively designed city-cabriolet based on the ŠKODA Citigo. The two-seater is the result of ‘Apprentice Car’ project, carried out for the first time this year. The exterior features a distinctive metallic finish in blue and white, and sporty, blue/white-painted 16-inch alloy wheels, accompanied by a handmade rear spoiler and a powerful exhaust with two tailpipes. A 1.0 MPI petrol engine with 55 kW (75hp) can be found under the bonnet. The car also has a sporty interior, with equipment based on the interior of the special edition ŠKODA Citigo SPORT. In addition, the creators have installed a special 300W sound system, which the blue LED interior lighting system responds to.
The ŠKODA Octavia Combi RS is ŠKODA’s successful estate edition of the fastest ŠKODA Octavia of all time. The ŠKODA Octavia RS has been a market success since mid-2013, captivating with its power, dynamics and striking design. The 2.0 TSI/162 kW engine accelerates the ŠKODA Octavia Estate RS from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 248 km/h. Large air inlet openings, dynamic front spoiler, strong rear diffuser, wide chrome exhaust pipes, slightly lowered chassis, sports suspension, RS design fog lights, and series-standard bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights – the Octavia Combi RS conveys pure emotion at first glance. The vehicle shown at Wörthersee is metallic painted Moon-white and stands on 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior is dominated by sporty black, plus there are special RS design sport seats and aluminium pedals.
The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback Red & Grey Collection is the new robust edition with ŠKODA Original Accessories of the in 2013 launched ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback, which was the brand’s first compact hatchback model. The white body colour effectively contrasts with the grey-red strips running over the bonnet, roof and rear. There are also striking, red 17-inch alloy wheels in SAVIO design, exterior mirror housings made of carbon and darkened rear lights. The special sports kit includes the front spoiler with black coloured splitter and rear spoiler. Sports kit include also decorative side mouldings and diffuser in car body colour. The grille frame is painted in magic black. The interior also features sporty designs. The small leather package includes a three-spoke sports steering wheel with red leather accents, with the gear stick and hand brake finished in red leather. There are sports seats, aluminium pedals and aluminium door sill plates with Rapid branding. The trim bar on the instrument panel is white, decorated with grey and red stripes. The floor mats are finished in red stitching.
The ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 is one of the world’s most successful rally cars in the Super 2000 class. Distinctive bumpers, powerful air intakes, crisp wheel arch extensions, and a large rear spoiler make the car a sporty powerhouse on four 18-inch sports wheels. Technical highlights include a 205 kW (279hp) engine, permanent four-wheel drive, dramatically lowered sports suspension, six-speed sequential gearbox and special rally sport tyres. Since its premiere in international rallying five years ago, the rapid compact sports car has caused a sensation and has collected numerous titles. The ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000 won three continental rally championships in Europe, Asia and South America in 2013 alone.
Besides the sporty models, ŠKODA will be offering the visitors a special racing experience. The ‘Crazy Rallye Ride’ promises live racing action in miniature. Visitors will be able to show off their driving skills in mini-racing cars at a specially designed race track next to the ŠKODA Stand. Kitted out in a special racing outfit, the participants will be competing for victory and placement on track.
