Η FCA Αμερικής ανακοίνωσε ότι ανακαλεί μέσω τριών διαφορετικών καμπανιών 1.180 αυτοκίνητα των Ram 1500 και Jeep Cherokee, με το πρόβλημα να εντοπίζεται στα εμπρός ημιαξόνια, τα οποία λόγω κατασκευαστικού λάθους του προμηθευτή μπορεί να ραγίσουν.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, υπάρχουν 99 επηρεαζόμενα Ram με ημερομηνίες κατασκευής από 19 Φεβρουαρίου μέχρι 3 Μαρτίου 2016, και 52 Cherokee με ημερομηνίες κατασκευής από 30 Σεπτεμβρίου μέχρι 2 Οκτωβρίου του 2015, τα οποία χρειάζονται αλλαγή του εμπρός αριστερού ημιαξόνιου. Αντίστοιχα, υπάρχουν 1.029 Cherokee με ημερομηνίες κατασκευής από 3 Οκτωβρίου του 2015 μέχρι 22 Μαρτίου του 2016, που χρειάζονται νέο δεξί ημιαξόνιο.

CONSEQUENCE:
A fractured halfshaft may damage underbody components and create road debris, increasing the risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace both front halfshafts, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is S32.
