Κυριακή και όπως έχουνε συνηθίσει οι εταιρίες τελευταία παρουσιάζουν νέα μοντέλα. Σήμερα ήταν σειρά της BMW να μας παρουσιάσει την 6-Series Gran Coupe η οποία θα κάνει ντεμπούτο στο Detroit τον επόμενο μήνα. Η Gran Coupe 6αρα θα τεθεί αντιμέτωπη με την Mercedes CLS αλλά και το Audi A7 και είναι μεγαλύτερη κατά 111 mm σε σχέση με την coupe 6-άρα και το κύριο γνώρισμα της είναι οι 4 πόρτες. Άλλες μεγάλες διαφορές από την coupe και την cabrio έκδοση.
Το εσωτερικό είναι παρόμοιο με αυτό των coupe και cabrio και είναι επενδυμένο με δέρμα Dakota, διαθέτει θερμαινόμενα καθίσματα μπροστά και διζωνικό κλιματισμό. Διαθέτει 4+1 θέσεις με τον χώρο αποσκευών να αγγίζει τα 460 λίτρα. Υπάρχουν κεραμικά διακοσμητικά, σύστημα πλοήγησης αλλά και το σύστημα ηχείων Bang & Olufsen.
Μηχανικά είναι διαθέσιμη με 3 κινητήρες. Η έκδοση 640i φορά 3.0 λίτρων twin-turbo εξακύλινδρο σε σειρά κινητήρα, απόδοσης 320 ίππων με 450 Nm ροπής. Τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 5.4 δευτερόλεπτα (0.3 δεύτερα γρηγορότερα από την Covnertible) με την τελική ταχύτητα να περιορίζεται ηλεκτρονικά στα 250 χλμ/ώρα.
Η έκδοση 650i διαθέτει τον twin turbo V8 4.4 λίτρων απόδοσης 407 ίππων με 600 Nm ροπής. Τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 4.6 δευτερόλεπτα και εδώ η τελική ταχύτητα περιορίζεται ηλεκτρονικά στα 250 χλμ/ώρα.
Τέλος υπάρχει η έκδοση 640d η οποία φορά τον 3.0-λιτρο πετρελαιοκινητήρα 313 ίππων με 630 Nm ροπής. Τα 0-100 χλμ/ώρα τα κάνει σε 5.4 δευτερόλεπτα ενώ και εδώ η τελική ταχύτητα περιορίζεται ηλεκτρονικά στα 250 χλμ/ώρα.
Ανεξάρτητα του κινητήρα, η 6-Series Gran Coupe συνδυάζεται με ένα 8-τάχυτο αυτόματο κιβώτιο που στέλνει την κίνηση στους πίσω τροχούς, ενώ μόνο στην έκδοση 650i υπάρχει διαθέσιμο σύστημα τετρακίνησης.
Για να βελτιωθεί η οδηγική της συμπεριφορά, οι άνθρωποι της BMW εφοδίασαν την νέα coupe Σειρά 6 με μία προηγμένη αλουμινένια ανάρτηση αποτελούμενη από διπλά ψαλίδια μπροστά και πολλαπλών συνδέσμων πίσω. Φυσικά από τεχνολογικής πλευράς, το σύστημα Dynamic Damper Control βρίσκεται στον στάνταρ εξοπλισμό, ενώ το Active Roll Stabilization, το οποίο βελτιώνει το κράτημα στις στροφές, στον επιπλέον.
Διαθέσιμο επιπλέον είναι και το Integral Active Steering system το οποίο συνδυάζεται με τον Active Steering system του μπροστά άξονα και διαθέτει έναν πίσω άξονα ο οποίος στρίβει ελάχιστα ώστε να βελτιώσει ακόμη περισσότερο την σταθερότητα στις υψηλές ταχύτητες, αλλά και την ευελιξία στο παρκάρισμα και στην οδήγηση εντός πόλεως. Τεχνολογικά διαθέτει επίσης τα συστήματα Lane Departure Warning, Active Blind Spot detection, κάμερες τοποθετημένες πίσω και στην οροφή, βοηθό παρκαρίσματος καθώς και τρισδιάστατη heads-up display. Πατά πάνω σε 18″ ζάντες αλουμινίου και διαθέτει bi-xenon φωτιστικά σώματα με LED φώτα ημέρας.
Τέλος η BMW έδωσε και το M-Package της το οποίο διαθέτει νέο bodykit, μαύρες χρωμιομένες απολήξεις των εξατμίσεων, ζάντες 19″ και 20″, δύο νέα χρώματα Carbon Black metallic και Red non-metallic, alcantara/δερμάτινα καθίσματα με μπλε ραφές, M δερμάτινο πολυλειτουργικό τιμόνι, αλουμινένια μασπιέ στις πόρτες και αλουμινένια πεντάλ.
