Ο Tiesto είναι ένας από τους πιο δημοφιλής DJ της τελευταίας δεκαετίας και η Skoda θέλησε να το εκμεταλλευτεί αυτό. Έτσι το τελευταίο κομμάτι του Ολλανδού DJ μαζί με την Anastacia What Can We Do (A Deeper Love), έβαλαν στο videoclip να πρωταγωνιστεί το Citigo. Εξάλλου έχει γίνει μόδα τελευταία οι αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίες να βάζουν τα μοντέλα τους σε video clip (βλέπε Jennifer Lopez – Fiat 500, Britney Spears – VW Beetle). H παραγωγή του Citigo έχει ξεκινήσει στη Τσεχία και ήδη η Skoda έχει δεχτεί 1000 παραγγελίες.

Mladá Boleslav, 19 December, 2011 – International megastar DJ and producer Tiësto will help kickoff the launch of the new ŠKODA small car Citigo with an exclusive music video and downloadable remix.
The video for Tiësto’s recent track “What Can We Do (A Deeper Love)” can be seen exclusively on the ŠKODA Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Skoda) starting December 19th, 2011.
A remix by Third Party of the same song will made available for free download on December 21st, also hosted on the ŠKODA Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Skoda).
The music video and free download are part of a unique collaboration between Tiësto and ŠKODA which started earlier this year at the ŠKODA World Dealer Conference in Prague, where he gave an amazing performance to approximately 5,000 of ŠKODA’s trading partners from all over the world.
ŠKODA’s partnership with Tiësto, widely regarded as the greatest DJ of all time, is aimed to engage young target groups for ŠKODA and the new Citigo. With its seventh model series, the brand is represented in the growing segment of superminis for the first time. “The Citigo represents ŠKODA’s entry into a new segment for the company and wants to capture new customers. In order to achieve this goal, we need to find new ways for our communication as well. Therefore, the partnership with Tiësto is a perfect match,” says Jürgen Stackmann, the ŠKODA board member for Sales and Marketing. “The Citigo is an attractive, fresh small car that fulfils the highest standards regarding quality and safety. This car fits the times and is a perfect match for the Facebook generation, who we want to address directly through this partnership,” according to Stackmann. ŠKODA’s Facebook page is off to a rapid start, capturing over 100,000 since its launch only a few weeks ago.
The Citigo is one of the pillars of the ŠKODA Growth Strategy 2018 and, for the first time, opens up the supermini car segment for the brand. With a length of 3.56 meters, a width of 1.64 meters, and a height of 1.48 meters, it is among the most compact superminis on the market, providing space for four persons and luggage. At the beginning of November, the vehicle celebrated its premiere in the Czech Republic. Moreover, the small car received the highest rating of 5 stars in the Euro NCAP Crash Test by the European consumer protection organization Euro NCAP due to its outstanding safety equipment. The Citigo has also been received well by customers: In the first four sales weeks alone, more than 1,000 orders were placed for the car. In the coming year, the Citigo will be introduced in other European markets. Besides the three-door version, the vehicle will then be available in a five-door version as well.
