O γερμανικός βελτιωτικός οίκος Maxi-Tuner παρουσίασε το πακέτο αναβάθμισης για το νέο MINI Cooper S.
Αρχικά, αυξάνει την ιπποδύναμη του 2-λιτρου turbo μηχανικό σύνολο του βρετανικού αυτοκινήτου από τα 192 άλογα και 280 Nm ροπής στα 220 άλογα και 340 Nm. H αύξηση αυτή προήλθε από την τοποθέτηση ενός chip-tuning κουτιού και μιας νέας εξάτμισης. Με επιπλέον χρήματα, μπορεί να τοποθετήσει εξάτμιση με βαλβίδες ή για χρήση μόνο μέσα σε πίστα.
Πατάει σε 18άρες ζάντες της Schmidt Shift με ελαστικά διαστάσεων 215/35, ενώ φοράει και χαμηλότερα ελατήρια από την H&R.
Όσον αφορά τα χρήματα που ζητάει, για την αύξηση της ιπποδύναμη θέλει €899, για την εξάτμιση €699, για τις ζάντες €1.498, ενώ τέλος για τα ελατήρια €279.

Maxi-Tuner: Performance package for the new MINI Cooper S
No sooner have the initial products of the brand new MINI-Generation F56 hit the street scene than the refiners of Maxi-Tuner, specializing in the performance optimization of MINI models, presented a comprehensive tuning package for the third rebranded generation of the Bavarian cult compact car with British roots.
Even though the present F56 peak model “MINI Cooper S” with its 192 horse power-strong turbo engine cannot be regarded as under-motorized factory-wise, the tuners from Gau-Algesheim in the state of Rhineland Palatinate, took the game one level higher using their company’s own supplementary Electronic Control Unit! This chip-tuning box that has received TÜV’s blessing through a partial expertise has boosted the performance of the forcibly resuscitated 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine by 28 to a total of 220 horse power. Parallel to this, the maximum torque was raised from 280 to a forceful 340 Newton meter thus providing abundant stand-by thrust at all times. With this newly gained steam, the Maxi-Tuner MINI has even broken the prestigious speed limit of 250 k.p.h. sonic barrier!
Long before this is realized – namely in the stationary state and at low speed – the sports exhaust system that was specially developed by Maxi-Tuner and made of high-end stainless steel, draws attention to the MINI power acoustically. The basic version of this exhaust system that can be obtained with different tail pipe designs can be used absolutely without official registration thanks to the EC type approval. The Maxi-Tuner sports exhaust system can be optionally upgraded to a valve sports exhaust system or a cup exhaust system thanks to a sophisticated modular system. While the valve system can be licensed through individual technical inspection e.g. directly in Maxi-Tuner’s company, the cup version is meant solely for export or usage on the race track.
Moreover, Maxi Tuner screwed 8 x 18 inches Schmidt Shift rims to the axles of the MINI Cooper S shown here, that were combined all over, with Goodyear tires of the size 215/35R18. The lowering springs from the establishment of H&R also endowed the Maxi-Tuner MINI with a crouched visual appearance and turn the Cooper S that had otherwise been made brisk in factory production, into a perfect toy for windy country roads.
