Η Audi έδωσε σήμερα στην δημοσιότητα λεπτομέρειες και φωτογραφίες απο τα νέα A5 και S5 Cabrio.
Προγραμματισμένο να βγεί στην παραγωγή την άνοιξη του 2009 στην Aμερική και το φθινόπωρο του ίδιου χρόνου στην Ευρώπη. H Audi διάλεξε την κλασσική υφασμάτινη οροφή σε σχέση με τους ανταγωνιστές της που διάλεξαν hardtops. Η οροφή θα ανοίγει σε μόλις 15 δευτερόλεπτα, ενώ 17 δευτερόλεπτα είναι αρκετά ώστε να κλείσει.
Θα έχουμε 5 διαθέσιμους κινητήρες. 3 βενζίνης και 2 πετρελαίου. Οι βενζινοκίνητηρες θα είναι ο κλασσικός 2.0 TFSI αποδοσης 180 και και 211 ίππων και ο 3.2 V6 FSI απόδοσης 265 ίππων. Οι πετρελαιοκινητήρες θα είναι 2.7 και 3.0 λίτρων V6, απόδοσης 190 και 240 ίππων αντίστοιχα. Η μεταφορά της κίνησης θα γίνεται είτε με χειροκίνητο κιβώτιο 6 σχέσεων είτε με αυτόματο κιβώτιο διπλού συμπλέκτη, ενώ θα υπάρχουν και τετρακίνητες εκδόσεις.
Το S5 cabrio θα εφοδιάζεται με ένα 3 λίτρων V6 τούρμποκινητήρα απόδοσης 333 ίππων με μέγιστη ροπή τα 44 κιλά, διαθέσιμη απο τις 2.900 στροφές.
Στην Ευρώπη το Α5 cabrio θα προσφέρεται με τον 1800αρη TFSI απόδοσης 160 ίππων με την τιμή να ξεκινά από τα 37.300 € στην Γερμανία.
