Η ABT ετοιμάζεται για την 81η έκθεση της Γενεύης που θα ανοίξει τις πύλες της την 1η Μαρτίου. Εκεί ο Γερμανικός βελτιωτικός οίκος θα γιορτάσει τα 115 γενέθλια του και θα παρουσιάσει 4 νέα μοντέλα.
Το πρώτο θα είναι ένα χρωμιομένο ABT R8 GTR το οποίο εκτέθηκε για πρώτη φορά στο Essen τον περασμένο Δεκέμβριο. Το δεύτερο θα είναι το ABT A7 Sportback στο οποίο οι μηχανικοί από το Kempten τοποθέτησαν ένα επιθετικό bodykit ενώ το τρίτο μοντέλο θα είναι το ABT A6. Το τέταρτο μοντέλο το κράτησαν κρυφό με τον γενικό διευθυντή της ABT, Hans-Jürgen, να δηλώνει:
Στη Γενεύη θα παρουσιάσουμε και ένα νέο sport car το οποίο προσωπικά μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ. Σε αυτό δείχνουμε το τι μπορούμε να κάνουμε σε τεχνικό επίπεδο ώστε να αυξήσουμε σε μεγάλο βαθμό την οδηγική απόλαυση. Ανυπομονώ να δω την απήχηση που θα έχει στο κοινό.

ABT Heralds the Start of the 2011 Model Year at the Geneva Motor Show
If that in itself isn’t a reason to celebrate: ABT is celebrating its 115th anniversary. In its fourth generation the Bavarian family company is focussing on continuity and tradition. This experience can be seen in the cars and products which the world’s largest tuner of vehicles from the Volkswagen group will be presenting at the Geneva Motor Show. A particular eye-catcher will certainly be the silver ABT R8 GTR – this uncompromising racer for the road is a gold medal candidate. This super sports car is extravagant, fast as well as technically and visually unique.
Elegance and dynamism, everyday usability and superior driving characteristics are combined by two models which ABT Sportsline will be focussing on in particular in its anniversary year: The ABT A7 Sportback is a coupé, limousine and sports machine in one. An aggressive appearance and perfect processing right to the finest detail – in Geneva you can see the ABT’s definition of “Premium vehicle”: exclusive and powerful. The new ABT A6 will also be presented in this way at the Motor Show. With it a success story is continued, which started even before the first A6 C4 was launched in 1994. The Audi 100 was actually the predecessor of the A6s – and ABT has been dealing with this range of models ever since the first one was released in 1968. The tradition and innovation of ABT Sportsline have now found their pinnacle in the latest A6.
Alongside the R8 GTR, A6 and A7, ABT will also be presenting another vehicle from the top drawer. Although it will only be unveiled in Geneva, General Manager Hans-Jürgen Abt is able to reveal this much now: “We will be bringing along a sports car which I personally like a lot. For it shows our technical capabilities and offers a maximum level of driving enjoyment.
I am looking forward to seeing how it is received by the public in Geneva.” Automobile passion for detail – something else that ABT Sportsline stands for. This will be evident in the new design wheel ABT DR, which strikes a new path visually and looks very good on both the vehicles of ABT as well as the series standard models from Wolfsburg or Ingolstadt.
