H Volkswagen ανακοίνωσε ότι έως και τον Οκτώβριο, έχει πουλήσει 4,72 εκατ αυτοκίνητα (+11,2%) σε σχέση με τα 4,24 εκατ. την ίδια περίοδο του 2011. Τον Οκτώβριο η Volkswagen πούλησε 501.300 αυτοκίνητα (+16,3%).
Από την αρχή του έτους, οι πωλήσεις στη περιοχή Ασίας-Ειρηνικού έχουνε αυξηθεί κατά 17,4% (1,89 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα) ενώ στη Κίνα οι πωλήσεις άγγιξαν τα 1,71 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+18,2%). Στη Βόρειο Αμερική πούλησε 508.500 αυτοκίνητα (+25,6%), στις Η.Π.Α 357.400 αυτοκίνητα (+35,6%) και στη Νότιο Αμερική 699.600 αυτοκίνητα (+8,9%).
Στην Ευρώπη πούλησε 1.44 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+0,5%). Στην Κεντρική και Ανατολική Ευρώπη οι πωλήσεις αυξήθηκαν κατά 28,8% (223.100 μονάδες) ενώ στη Ρωσία κατά 50,8% (137.200 μονάδες). Στη Δυτική Ευρώπη, εκτός Γερμανίας, οι πωλήσεις μειώθηκαν κατά 6,0% (719.100 μονάδες) ενώ και στη Γερμανία, οι πωλήσεις αυξήθηκαν κατά 0,6% (501.300).
Παράλληλα η Volkswagen έδωσε τις τιμές και τις φωτογραφίες του Beetle Cabrio το οποίο θα παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση του Los Angeles και στη Γερμανία ξεκινά από τις 21.350 ευρώ.

Deliveries by Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand up 11.2 percent in period to October to 4.72 million units
Wolfsburg, 13 November 2012 – The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand handed over 4.72 (January-October 2011: 4.24; +11.2 percent) million vehicles to customers from January to October. The brand delivered 501,300 (October 2011: 430,900; +16.3 percent) vehicles in the month of October. “We achieved growth, in some cases quite significant, above all outside Europe in October. The picture in Europe, on the other hand, remains difficult. The markets in Western Europe in particular demand our full attention. Here, the new Golf, Europe’s best-selling car, has got off to an excellent start with over 40,000 advance orders”, Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, said.
On the overall European market Volkswagen Passenger Cars maintained the high level of 1.44 (1.44; +0.5 percent) million vehicles from January to October. The brand generated growth in Central and Eastern Europe in particular, where deliveries rose by 28.8 percent to 223,100 (173,100) units. In Russia, the region’s largest single market, deliveries increased to 137,200 (91,000; +50.8 percent) vehicles. In Western Europe (excluding Germany), deliveries fell by 6.0 percent to 719,100 (764,700) units as a result of the difficult situation on markets in general. In Germany, Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 501,300 (498,400; +0.6 percent) vehicles to customers in the ten-month period.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the brand grew deliveries by 17.4 percent from January to October and handed over 1.89 (1.61) million vehicles to customers, of which 1.71 (1.45; +18.4 percent) million units were delivered in China (incl. Hong Kong), the region’s largest single market. Sales on the American continent also developed very well in the period to October, with Volkswagen Passenger Cars growing deliveries in the North America region by 25.6 percent to 508,500 (404,900) vehicles. Growth was especially strong in the United States, where customers took possession of 357,400 (263,500; +35.6 percent) vehicles. In South America, deliveries rose by 8.9 percent to 699,600 (642,300) vehicles.
The New Beetle convertible to order immediately
Wolfsburg 09th, November 2012 – It attracts attention like no other car: the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet. Customers can now order the latest generation of the open Volkswagen. The prices for the Beetle convertible start at 21,350 euros for the 1.2 TSI with 77 kW/105 hp.
The timeless design of this classic has been re-interpreted with the current version of the Beetle Convertible. A standard rear spoiler painted in body color with top further underlines the sporty and dynamic silhouette oriented. Maximum safety features, among other things, the standard rollover protection system. This goes after crossing a dangerous tendency vehicle within milliseconds behind the rear head restraints to the top.
With its spacious and comfortable interior designed the new Beetle Cabriolet is a full four-seater. The 225 liter boot has a load-through, so that larger items can be transported with the roof closed. In Europe, Volkswagen will offer exclusively direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engines for the convertible. The three TSIs (gasoline) output of 77 kW/105 hp, 118 kW/160 hp and 147 kW/200 hp. The two TDI (Diesel) developing 77 kW/105 hp and 103 kW/140 hp. Each of these motors can be combined with an optional dual clutch transmission (six-or seven-speed DSG).
Parallel to the market launch of the Cabriolet models come in three themes trade, pick up the beetle-style elements of the 50s, 60s and 70s and modern design. His public debut is the Beetle Cabriolet on 28 November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Also available now sporty R-Line are scopes for Coupe and Convertible. Summarized in two packages (from 1305 Euro) provide, inter alia, 18-inch alloy wheels of the “Twister” in the bumper R-styling and aluminum door sills with R-Line logo for a dynamic overall appearance.
