H Volkswagen ανακοίνωσε ότι από τις αρχές του έτους έως και τον Νοέμβριο, πούλησε 5.4 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα παγκοσμίως παρουσιάζοντας αύξηση 3,4% σε σχέση με την ίδια περσινή περίοδο. Μόνο τον Νοέμβριο, η Γερμανική εταιρία πούλησε 522.100 αυτοκίνητα (+3,4%), με την έβδομη γενιά του Golf να έχει πουλήσει περισσότερα από 500.000 μονάδες μέσα στον έναν χρόνο που βρίσκεται στην αγορά.

Στην Ευρώπη τον Νοέμβριο πουλήθηκαν 1.51 εκατ. νέα VW (-4,8%). Στην Κεντρική και Ανατολική Ευρώπη οι πωλήσεις μειώθηκαν κατά 1,7% (242.300 μονάδες) ενώ στη Ρωσία μειώθηκαν κατά 5,7 % (142.700 μονάδες). Στη Δυτική Ευρώπη, εκτός Γερμανίας, οι πωλήσεις μειώθηκαν κατά 4,6% (746.800 μονάδες) ενώ και στη Γερμανία οι πωλήσεις σημείωσαν πτώση κατά 6,4% (516.900).

Στη περιοχή Ασίας-Ειρηνικού πουλήθηκαν 2.46 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+15,8%) ενώ στη Κίνα οι πωλήσεις ανήλθαν σε 2.26 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα (+17,5%). Στην Ινδία η Volkswagen πούλησε 54.300 αυτοκίνητα (-14,7%). Στη Βόρειο Αμερική πούλησε 563.000 αυτοκίνητα, στις Η.Π.Α 373.700 αυτοκίνητα (-5,2%) και στη Νότιο Αμερική 660.600 αυτοκίνητα (-13,8%). Στη Βραζιλία πουλήθηκαν 500.300 νέα Volkswagen (-16,8%).

Volkswagen Passenger Cars delivers 5.40 million vehicles in period to November / +3.4 percent

The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand recorded a good delivery performance in November with volumes up 3.4 percent to 522,100 (November 2012: 504,800) units. 5.40 (January-November 2012: 5.22) million vehicles were handed over to customers from January to November, an increase of 3.4 percent. “Our brand’s most important model, the Golf, has once again been a strong driver. The latest generation has got off to an excellent start and we will be delivering the 500,000th model this December, just one year after the market launch”, Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, said, and added: “We expect to see further momentum from key countries such as China and the USA, where the Golf will be launched shortly. And we are constantly adding to the Golf family: The new Golf Estate has just gone on sale, and the Golf Sportsvan along with the e-Golf and the Golf Plug-in Hybrid will follow next year.”

In the Asia-Pacific region, the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand grew deliveries by 15.8 percent from January to November, handing over 2.46 (2.12) million vehicles to customers, of which 2.26 (1.92; +17.5 percent) million units were delivered in China (including Hong Kong), the region’s largest single market. In contrast, deliveries in India declined to 54,300 (63,600; -14.7 percent) units.

In the North America region, the delivery level was unchanged, with the brand handing over 563,000 vehicles, of which 373,700 (394,100; -5.2 percent) new models were handed over to customers in the United States. In the South America region, deliveries from January to November declined by 13.8 percent to 660,600 (766,300) units, of which 500,300 (601,100; -16.8 percent) were handed over in Brazil.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars delivered 1.51 (1.58; -4.8 percent) million vehicles on the overall European market in the period to November, of which 746,800 (782,700; -4.6 percent) units were handed over in the Western Europe region (excluding Germany). At 516,900 (552,200) units, deliveries to customers in the home market of Germany from January to November were down 6.4 percent. Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 242,300 (246,500; -1.7 percent) vehicles to customers in Central and Eastern Europe in the period to November, of which 142,700 (151,400; -5.7 percent) units were delivered in Russia.
