Expanding the appeal of the Porsche 911 by combining German engineering with quintessentially British styling is not entirely new territory to the man who embodies a brand and its identity.
The 911 in particular is the hardy perennial of the automotive world, a car that has defied attempts to replace it. However, few things in life last long without adapting to change and Afzal Kahn has promised a classic look tempered with adventurous spirit: “We believe all Porsche 911’s and 991’s should look like this,” said the principal British Designer.
Set for release in the coming weeks ahead, this particular project has created such a buzz that it makes sense to escape the noise, and discuss just what is getting the industry talking.
Right from the outset, the elements that will make the Kahn Porsche 911 and 991 unique begin to assert themselves: a wide arch kit including front and rear wide track arches, front and rear sections, the Kahn cross hair exhaust system and the unique paint job will ensure the vehicle will be the subject of much conversation.
Inside will be the bespoke touch. We provide our customers with what they want. Afzal Kahn could, for example, design for you a vehicle with an exterior the colour of your jeans and an interior with seats akin to the shade of, let’s say, a green t-shirt. Customers could also change the colour of the clock, or ask for anything else, the world is their oyster, so to speak.
