Ημέρες βελτιωμένου Volkswagen Golf είναι απ’ ότι φαίνεται αυτές οι μέρες αφού μετά τα διάφορα Golf που παρουσίασε η ίδια η Volkswagen, έρχεται η Oettinger να παρουσιάσει την δική της πρόταση.
Ο βελτιωτικός οίκος, περιγράφει το Golf 500R ως “super sports car” και το εκθέτει στο Worthersee φυσικά. Όπως βλέπεις και στις φωτογραφίες, το μοντέλο έχει εξοπλιστεί με ένα πολύ επιθετικό και εκτενές bodykit που φαίνεται να αλλάζει σχεδόν όλα τα πάνελς του standard Golf R –προφυλακτήρες, φτερά, καπό, side skirts κλπ– με νέα. Το πακέτο, συμπληρώνεται δε με τις σφυρήλατες ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος 20 ιντσών που “ντύνονται” με ελαστικά Dunlop Sport Maxx. Η ίδια περίπου συνταγή, έχει εφαρμοστεί και στο εσωτερικό όπου έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί νέα υλικά σχεδόν παντού.
Εξίσου μεγάλες αλλαγές έχουν γίνει και στα μηχανικά του αυτοκινήτου. Ο 2.5 λίτρων TFSI που βρίσκεται κάτω από το καπό του 500R έχει “βελτιωθεί σημαντικά”. Έχει τοποθετηθεί νέο turbo, σφυρήλατα πιστόνια, νέα εισαγωγή, νέα εξάτμιση και νέο πρόγραμμα στην ECU. Το αποτέλεσμα όλων αυτών, είναι 518 άλογα στις 6.100 σ.α.λ. και 680 Nm ροπής στις 3.600 που περνούν στον δρόμο μέσω ενός 6-τάχυτου, χειροκίνητου κιβωτίου και τους συστήματος τετρακίνησης. Τα μετατρόχια εμπρός και πίσω έχουν μεγαλώσει κατά 58 χιλιοστά ενώ το μεταξόνιο, είναι πλέον 2.646 χιλιοστά από τα 2.637 του standard Golf R. Η ρυθμιζόμενη coilover ανάρτηση προέρχεται από την KW ενώ τα φρένα, έχουν αναβαθμιστεί με δίσκους 380 χιλιοστών και 6-πίστονες δαγκάνες.
Όπως ανακοινώνει η Oettinger, τα 100 km/h από στάση έρχονται σε 3.4 δευτερόλεπτα ενώ η τελική είναι μεγαλύτερη των 300 km/h. Βέβαια όλα αυτά έχουν το κόστος τους… Στην προκειμένη περίπτωση, το κόστος αυτό αναμένεται να είναι περίπου €150.000 όταν το Golf 500R περάσει σε περιορισμένη παραγωγή. Και μην νομίζεις ότι ο βελτιωτικός οίκος θα σταματήσει εδώ. Ετοιμάζει πακέτα 600, 650 και 750 ίππων!

The OETTINGER 500R is offered as a limited edition. A price is not yet known, it is likely to start at the entry level but at around 150,000 euros. Additional output levels of 600, 650 and 750 hp will follow shortly.
Technology and design meet the OETTINGER 500R on motorsport character. Unbelievable is the list of technical highlights, confident the presence of equipped with the newly developed OETTINGER 500R Racing Design Package super sports car. For use at trackdays OETTINGER relies on ATS racing rims Type GTR in 10 x 18 inch with 285/30 R18 Dunlop Direzza in.
With the confident OETTINGER 500R Racing Design Package Another big hit is managed. Forward pulls the widened front apron with its large air inlets and a real carbon fiber splitter attention to itself. The front grille features a double-sided upper Lüftöffnung. On the hood, the developers have provided a vent for the engine compartment. On the powerful front fenders, the wheel arch ventilation that catches your eye. Genuine carbon-Flaps find itself as eye-catchers on the side skirts again. The rear wheel arch has designed the Friedrichsdorfer Tuner for two- and Viertürern. Distinctive character at the rear are the widened apron with her real-carbon diffuser and the central exhaust tailpipe and the powerful rear wing with its Aero-Flaps.

Sporty, extravagant, individual: This is how the interior of the OETTINGER 500R. The super sports car is waiting here with an exclusive leather interior with black Alcantara on the center seat panels. In keeping with the exterior, the decorative seams are individualized in the contrasting color “Orange”.
