Έχει μερικούς μήνες που παρουσιάστηκε το Seat Leon SC και κάτι μου λέει πως θα βλέπουμε βελτιωτικά πακέτα για αυτό όλο και πιο συχνά. Αυτή τη φορά, το πακέτο είναι της JE Design που αποφάσισε να βελτιώσει την diesel FR έκδοση.
Ο τετρακύλινδρος, δίλιτρος turbo diesel, ήδη, σε εργοστασιακή μορφή, αποδίδει 184 άλογα και 380Nm ροπής αλλά αυτά δεν ήταν αρκετά για την JE Design. Χάρη στις επεμβάσεις των μηχανικών του βελτιωτικού οίκου, ο κινητήρας πλέον παράγει 210 άλογα και 430Nm ροπής. Μπορεί η αύξηση να μην είναι μεγάλη αλλά είναι σίγουρα αισθητή καθώς το 0-100km/h ολοκληρώνεται 0,6 δευτερόλεπτα ταχύτερα -από 7,5 για το εργοστασιακό, στα 6,9 για αυτό της JE Design- ενώ η τελική ταχύτητα παρέμεινε ως είχε στα 228km/h.
Το πακέτο αύξησης της ιπποδύναμης, συνδυάζεται με ένα νέο carbon-look αεροδυναμικό πακέτο που αποτελείται από ποδιές, εμπρός, πίσω και στα πλάγια του αυτοκινήτου ενώ το πίσω μέρος απέκτησε από μία απόληξη εξάτμισης σε κάθε πλευρά. Όσον αφορά στην ανάρτηση, το standard πακέτο, περιλαμβάνει ελατήρια που χαμηλώνουν κατά 30mm το αμάξωμα ωστόσο στον extra εξοπλισμό υπάρχει και η επιλογή των ρυθμιζόμενων coilovers. Extra είναι επίσης και οι ζάντες ελαφρού κράματος 18 ιντσών και τα ελαστικά επιδόσεων.
Από άποψη κόστους, το πακέτο βελτίωσης του κινητήρα κοστίζει 1.990€ και περιλαμβάνει και 12μηνη εγγύηση, το carbon-look αεροδυναμικό πακέτο 1.035€, η εξάτμιση 899€ και η ανάρτηση από 237€ -για τα ελατήρια- έως και τα 1.749€ για την KW Variant 3.

Sporty and elegant: JE DESIGN presents the new Seat Leon SC FR with a TDI engine. With a significant increase in performance, a sporty aerodynamic kit and fiery red accents, the refined Spaniard rises above the production model. An improved suspension and distinctive light alloy wheels document the sharper approach by JE DESIGN.
Engineers from Leingarten in Baden-Wuerttemberg have optimized the control unit and given the two-liter TDI engine more power. The powerful diesel in the FR now accomplishes 210 hp (154 kW) instead of 184 hp (135 kW) with a maximum torque of 430 Newton meters (series: 380 Newton meters). In the sprint, the Seat reaches the 100 km/h mark after just 6.9 seconds. The production model FR needs 7.5 seconds to get there. As with the production model, the acceleration tops out at 228 km/h.
The entire performance boost from JE DESIGN is available for 1,990 Euro including VAT and with a twelve month warranty.
The three-door FR with TDI engine isn’t stingy when it comes to appeal. It sports its power increase proudly. JE DESIGN offers a complete aerodynamics package in carbon look for 1,035 Euro. The front spoiler (417 Euro) hugs the street, side skirts (357 Euro) calm down the air flow and pass it on to the rear skirt insert (298 Euro). Two stainless steel tailpipes on both sides emphasize the sporty appearance. The tailpipes each have a diameter of 80 millimeters. The complete stainless steel muffler (899 Euro) has an EC approval. JE DESIGN offers all aerodynamics components exclusively in carbon look. This eliminates time-consuming painting. The parts can be assembled on the vehicle immediately. Of course, these have a TÜV certificate.
Meanwhile, lowering springs provide for improved road holding and a deeper ride in the FR TDI. The Leon ducks down 30 millimeters closer to the tarmac (237 Euro). Whoever would like to reduce the distance to the road individually can pick up the KW coilover suspension made of stainless steel (1,049 Euro). This allows lowering the car between 35 and 65 millimeters. For the highest standards, JE DESIGN also offers the adjustable rebound and compression-damping KW coilover suspension Variant 3 (1,749 Euro).
JE DESIGN developed “Scorpio” type light alloy wheels specifically for the Seat Leon. They fill the wheel arches in the dimension 7.5×18 inches and a matt black finish with matt silver front. Especially for the FR-TDI, JE DESIGN has wrapped the wheels with high-performance tires in size 225/40. The complete set is sold from 839 Euro.
Alternatively, the proven MULTISPOKE rims are available in shadow silver, either in 7.5×18 (complete wheel set from 839 Euro), or in 8×19 with 225/35 R 19 tires (complete wheel set from 999 Euro).
All parts are, of course, also available for the Leon FR in the five-door hatchback version.
