Την πρώτη της επαφή με τον κόσμο Panamera την είχε στην έκθεση της Σανγκάη στις 19 του Απρίλη ωστόσο ταυτόχρονα με την επίσημη έναρξη της παραγωγής της στο εργοστάσιο της Λειψίας, η Porsche ανακοίνωσε ότι επισκέπτες μπορούν να επισκέπτονται το εργοστάσιο ώστε να δούνε από κοντά το πως κατασκευάζεται το νέο αυτοκίνητο. Το εργοστάσιο, που μεγάλωσε κατά 22 στρεμάτα ώστε να φιλοξενήσει την κατασκευή της Panamera, ολοκληρώθηκε μετά από 2 χρόνια εργασιών. Κατά τα χρόνια αυτά, η Porsche είχε διακόψει την δυνατότητα επίσκεψης από τουρίστες. Στο ίδιο εργοστάσιο κατασκευάζεται και η Cayenne έτσι σε μία ξενάγηση που διαρκεί 2 ώρες ο επισκέπτης μπορεί να δει από κοντά όλη την γραμμή παραγωγής των 2 αυτοκίνητων. Το κόστος για την ξενάγηση είναι δωρεάν μιας και λειτουργεί πιλοτικά με χρηματοδότηση του κράτους. Κατά την διάρκεια της ξενάγησης ο επισκέπτης θα έχει την δυνατότητα εάν το επιθυμεί να οδηγήσει την Cayenne σε διάφορες off – road και ασφάλτινες διαδρομές.
