Συνεχίζεται ο θετικός ρυθμός πωλήσεων της Volkswagen, απαισιόδοξος ο Marchionne

Σε αντίθεση με την Audi, η Volkswagen και τον Ιούνιο είδε αύξηση των πωλήσεων της αφού πούλησε 498.600 μονάδες (+13.7%) ενώ από την αρχή του έτους έχει πουλήσει 2.79 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα, αύξηση 10.2% σε σχέση με τα 2.53 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα που είχε πουλήσει το πρώτο εξάμηνο του 2011. Αν δούμε τα στοιχεία που δίνει η Volkswagen θα παρατηρήσουμε ότι οι πωλήσεις στην Ευρώπη έχουνε παραμείνει σταθερές με την αγορά της Γερμανίας παραμένει στάσιμη.

Αυτό τόνισε για ακόμη μια φορά και ο Sergio Marchionne, CEO του Fiat Group και του Chrysler Group, ο οποίος δήλωσε ότι δεν αναμένει οι πωλήσεις στην Ευρώπη να ανακτήσουν τη θετική τους πορεία μέσα στους επόμενους 24 ή 36 μήνες, κατηγορώντας την έλλειψη “ριζοσπαστικής” δράσης ώστε να εξαλειφθεί η κρίση. Συμπλήρωσε ότι ο ίδιος έδωσε εντολή ώστε να καθυστερήσει η παρουσίαση του νέου Punto αφού αν αυτό έβγαινε στην αγορά τώρα θα ήταν μια “αποτυχία” μιας και η Fiat δεν θα έπαιρνε πίσω τα χρήματα που θα είχε επενδύσει ώστε να το βγάλει στη παραγωγή.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars delivers 2.79 million vehicles in period to June / +10.2 percent

Wolfsburg, 10 July 2012 – The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand handed over 2.79 (January-June 2011: 2.53; +10.2 percent) million vehicles to customers worldwide in the first half of this year. The brand also announced an increase for the month of June, when it delivered 498,600 (June 2011: 438,400; +13.7 percent) units. “The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand developed well in the first half of the year despite the difficult situation in Western Europe. However, there is still considerable uncertainty in Europe which will continue into the second half of the year” Christian Klingler, Board Member for Sales and Marketing for the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, said in Wolfsburg in Tuesday.

In spite of the difficult situation on markets in Southern Europe, Volkswagen Passenger Cars grew deliveries on the overall European market in the first six months to 907,900 (881,000; +3.1 percent) units. While the number of vehicles delivered in Western Europe (excluding Germany) fell slightly to 464,300 (487,100; -4.7 percent), deliveries in Central and Eastern Europe rose by a substantial 45.2 percent to 134,000 (92,300) vehicles. Deliveries in Russia continued to develop at a high level, totaling 81,100 (45,500; +78.1 percent) units. In the home market of Germany, Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 309,700 (301,700; +2.6 percent) vehicles to customers.

The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand continued to grow outside Europe. In the Asia-Pacific region, the brand increased deliveries by 15.0 percent in the period to June, handing over 1.09 (0.95) million vehicles to customers. 982,600 (852,800; +15.2 percent) units were delivered in China (incl. Hong Kong), the region’s largest single market, during the same period. The brand also developed well on the American continent. Deliveries by Volkswagen Passenger Cars in the North America region grew 24.2 percent to 295,300 (237,700) vehicles, of which 208,700 (154,100; +35.4 percent) models were handed over to customers in the United States. In the South America region, deliveries increased by 4.0 percent to 390,900 (375,800) units.
