H προσπάθεια της Volkswagen να αποζημιώσει τους πελάτες της, οι οποίοι οδηγούν ένα από τα μοντέλα που περιλαμβάνονται στο σκάνδαλο των εκπομπών της εταιρείας είναι πλέον επίσημη.
Σύμφωνα με το δελτίο τύπου, οι αναφορές που υπήρχαν εδώ και κάποιες μέρες ήταν πράγματι σωστές, καθώς η εταιρεία θα προσφέρει κάρτες δώρων 1.000 δολαρίων καθώς και άλλα κίνητρα στους πελάτες της VW και της Audi, τα οποία εφοδιάζονται με τον 2-λιτρο TDI κινητήρα. Έτσι, επιπλέον των 500 δολαρίων που δίνουν οι αντιπροσωπείες, οι ιδιοκτήτες πετρελαιοκίνητων αυτοκινήτων θα λάβουν επίσης μια Visa κάρτα δώρου ύψους 500 δολαρίων, καθώς και δωρεάν οδική βοήθεια για τρία χρόνια.

Στις σχετικές ειδήσεις, το διοικητικό συμβούλιο της VW συνεδρίασε σήμερα και αποφάσισε να συνεχιστούν οι επενδύσεις από την Volkswagen, με μια σειρά συνομιλιών μεταξύ του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου και των εκπροσώπων των εργαζομένων να λάβει χώρα κατά την διάρκεια των επόμενων δέκα ημερών, προκειμένου να βρεθεί μια κοινή πορεία για το μέλλον της εταιρείας.
Ο οίκος αξιολόγησης Fitch υποβάθμισε την πιστολιπτική ικανότητα της VW στο BBB+ (από το Α), χαρακτηρίζοντας ως αρνητικές τις προοπτικές της γερμανικής αυτοκινητοβιομηχανίας. Παράλληλα ο Andreas Lampersbach, ο επικεφαλής εταιρικής επικοινωνίας της Volkswagen AG, ανακοίνωσε πως αποχωρεί από το VW Group με φιλικό διακανονισμό, με ισχύ από τις 15 Νοεμβρίου 2015 μετά από 14 χρόνια με την εταιρεία. Τα καθήκοντα του προσωρινά τα ανέλαβε ο Eric Felber.
Τέλος, το γερμανικό υπουργείο Μεταφορών ανακοίνωσε σήμερα πως από τα 2,4 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα του VW Group που ανακάλεσε, τα 540.000 εξ’αυτών χρειάζονται μηχανικές αλλαγές, μιας και δεν αρκεί μόνο η αναβάθμιση του λογισμικού τους. Η VW θα ξεκινήσει να εφαρμόζει τις επιδιορθώσεις των 2.0 TDI από τον Ιανουάριο του 2016, ενώ για τους 1.2 TDI και 1.6 TDI κινητήρες η λύση δεν θα είναι έτοιμη πριν το Σεπτέμβριο του 2016. Να θυμίσω πως στην Ευρώπη υπάρχουν τα 8,5 από τα 11 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα που χρίζουν είτε μόνο αναβάθμισης λογισμικού, είτε και τοποθέτησης του συστήματος AdBlue, νέων μπεκ και νέου καταλύτη. Στην Ευρώπη τα 3,6 εκατ. αυτοκίνητα χρειάζονται αλλαγές στον κινητήρα τους.

Group Board of Management and Works Council agree on joint steps
The CEO of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, Matthias Müller, and the Chairman of the Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG, Bernd Osterloh, agreed on the further procedure for investment and capacity planning today (Monday). A series of talks between the Board of Management and the employee representative body will take place over the coming ten days in order to find a common path for the future of the company.
Following today’s meeting, Müller said: “In the present difficult situation we must jointly make decisions that factor in economics just as much as employment. I attach great importance to the views and experience of our works councils. In light of the changed circumstances, we are facing an ambitious task. We will be prioritizing forward-looking products and technologies. Bernd Osterloh and I agree that this is the key factor for reliably safeguarding both the future success of our company and employment.”
Osterloh commented: “Matthias Müller will personally take charge of cooperation between the Board of Management and the Works Council. That is a strong signal for the workforce. We will join him on the road to the future because we believe he is a reliable partner. We are seeking shared decisions in the interest of the company, shareholders and employees. The challenges are enormous, but the workforce will stand behind the company as long as we succeed in agreeing on a balanced package of investments, economy measures and forward-looking projects. The discussions between Matthias Müller and myself have laid the foundation for that.”
Andreas Lampersbach leaves the Volkswagen Group
The Head of Corporate and Business Communications at Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, Andreas Lampersbach (53), left the Volkswagen Group by amicable agreement with effect from November 15, 2015 after 14 years with the company. His duties have been taken over in an interim capacity by Eric Felber (47).
Hans-Gerd Bode (54), Head of Group Communications, Investor Relations and External Relations at Volkswagen AG, said: “This departure is a loss to our company. Over the last few weeks in particular, Andreas Lampersbach excelled in demonstrating his outstanding communication skills. During this critical period he showed wisdom and a sense of responsibility in his handling of communications for Volkswagen. On behalf of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG and in my own name, I would like to thank him for his exceptional work over the years.”
Andreas Lampersbach headed communications operations at the “Expo 2000” world exhibition before moving in 2001 to join the Munich-based MAN Group, which became a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG in 2011, to hold various senior management functions. In April 2015 he relocated from his post as Head of Corporate Communications of the MAN Group, Munich, to Volkswagen AG’s Group headquarters, becoming Head of Corporate and Business Communications.
