Τα Honda Accord, Jazz και Pilot θα φορέσουν τους Earth Dreams κινητήρες και τα CVT κιβώτια

Η Honda ετοιμάζει τη νέα γενιά κινητήρων της, “Earth Dreams” αλλά και το νέο CVT κιβώτιο και το πρώτο αυτοκίνητο που θα τα φορά, θα είναι το νέο Accord. Οι κινητήρες είναι τουλάχιστον κατά 10% οικονομικότεροι από αυτούς που θα αντικαταστήσουν.

Η οικογένεια ξεκινά από τα 660 κ. εκ, και φτάνει έως τα 3.500 κ. εκ. Συγκεκριμένα υπάρχουν οι 660 κ.εκ., 1.300 κ.εκ., 1.500 κ.εκ., 1.800 κ.εκ., 2.000 κ.εκ., 2.400 κ.εκ. και 3.500 κ.εκ. Όλοι οι τετρακύλινδροι κινητήρες διαθέτουν διπλούς εκκεντροφόρους (DOHC) και άμεσο ψεκασμό. Ο κορυφαίος 3.5-λίτρων V6 διαθέτει και αυτός άμεσο ψεκασμό και αποδίδει 314 άλογα με 359 Nm ροπής. Από πλευράς πετρελαιοκινητήρας, η Honda αντικατάστησε τον 2.2.-λίτρων με τον νέο 1.600αρη turbodiesel.

Το ανανεωμένο Jazz, το οποίο θα βγει στην αγορά το καλοκαίρι του 2014 θα φορά τον νέο 1.500αρη κινητήρα ο οποίος θα συνεργάζεται με το κιβώτιο CVT. O 1.800άρης και ο 2.0-λιτρος κινητήρας θα τοποθετηθούν στο νέο CR-V το 2015, ενώ το Pilot, το 2014, θα φορέσει τον V6 3,5-λίτρων.

Παράλληλα η Honda ανακοίνωσε τις πωλήσεις της για το πρώτο οικονομικό τρίμηνο το οποίο ξεκίνησε από τον Μάρτιο και ολοκληρώθηκε στις 30 Ιουνίου. Η Honda είχε έσοδα 2,435.9 δις yen (25 δις ευρώ), αύξηση 42.1% σε σχέση με πέρυσι. Τα κέρδη προ φόρων ανήλθαν σε 194.7 δις yen (2.02 δις ευρώ) 6,6 φορές περισσότερα σε σχέση με την ίδια περίοδο του 2011. STRONG FIRST QUARTER SALES AND STABLE FINANCIAL FORECAST FOR HONDAe

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced its consolidated financial results for the fiscal first quarter ended 30 June 2012 and financial forecast for the current year ending March 2013. This demonstrates the gradual growth of Honda’s global business and the solid foundations that its new products are providing, despite challenging market conditions.

Fiscal First Quarter (1 April – 30 June 2012)
Consolidated net sales and other operating revenues for the fiscal first quarter (1 April 2012 to 30 June 2012) amounted to 2,435.9 billion yen, an increase of 42.1% compared to the same period last year, primarily due to strong sales of new models within Honda’s car products and an increase in revenue as a result of a recovery from the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Consolidated income before income taxes amounted to 194.7 billion yen (approx £1.6b), approximately 6.6 times greater than the same period last year. Consolidated net income attributable to Honda Motor Co., Ltd. amounted to 131.7 billion yen (approx £1.08b), approximately 4.1 times greater than the same period last year.

FY13 Forecast (1 April 2012 – 31 March 2013)
Whilst production and profit were severely affected by external factors during the last fiscal year, Honda continues to display a solid constitution and is planning a strong recovery during this current year.

Despite some uncertainties in the economic climate and market trends, as well as the fluctuation of currency exchange rates, Honda’s previously announced forecast for consolidated financial results for the current fiscal year ending 31 March 2013 (FY13) will remain unchanged from the previously advised JPY 620 billion (£5.1b).

Honda further plans to set a record high with annual automobile sales of 4.3 million units. This will be driven by new model changes for major models and the expansion of production capacity at production plants in North America and China.

The quarterly dividend for the fiscal first quarter will be JPY 19 (£0.16) per share, a JPY 4 increase compared to the quarterly dividend for the same period last year. The total cash dividends to be paid for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2013 are planned to be JPY 76 (£0.63) per share, an increase of JPY 16 per share from the previous fiscal year.
